Action Divers and Adventures

The reef is defined by its vibrant coral architecture, featuring extensive staghorn corals and various Gorgonian species. You will find a wealth of life amongst the barrel sponges and diverse coral formations that characterise this part of the world.

Large pelagics and reef residents are common throughout the area. You can expect to encounter various species of Shark (Selachimorpha), including the Blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) and the Nurse shark (Ginglymostoma cirratum). Spotted eagle rays (Aetobatus narinari) and Southern stingray (Hypanus americanus) are also frequently seen patrolling the sandy areas.

In the water column and around the reef structure, look for Barracuda (Sphyraena), Jacks (Carangidae), and various Snappers (Lutjanidae). You will also see many species of Angelfish (Pomacanthidae) and Parrotfish (Calotomus) navigating the reef.

Turtle watching is a highlight for many, with sightings of both loggerhead turtles and green turtle common in these waters. The reef is also home to larger Groupers (Epinephelinae) and Goliath grouper (Epinephelus itajara) lurking near the ledges.
