Located in the Tierra Verde area of Florida, St. Pete SCUBA serves as a dedicated hub for divers looking to advance their skills or begin their underwater journey. The centre is positioned to provide access to the diverse marine environments of the Florida coast, catering to families, clubs, and individual divers alike.

Whether you are looking to complete your initial certification or are seeking to master technical skills like wreck diving or drift diving, the centre provides the necessary infrastructure. Their approach combines modern e-learning with essential practical training in the water to ensure every diver is prepared for the conditions they will encounter.

The instructional team is led by Mike Keeney and Kent Preston, both of whom bring a wealth of experience to the table. With over 60 years of combined diving experience and more than 2,000 recorded dives, they offer a level of expertise that is vital for both beginners and those pursuing advanced specialties.

Mike Keeney is an SDI instructor qualified to teach Open Water, Wreck Diving, Deep Diving, Nitrox (EAN), Drift Diving, and Underwater Navigation. Kent Preston holds SDI certifications in the same areas and is also an SSI instructor. The management team, including Scott, holds certifications across PADI, SDI, and SSI, ensuring a versatile approach to training.

St. Pete SCUBA offers a complete catalogue of courses through PADI, SDI, and SSI. Beginners can start with the Open Water Scuba course, while more experienced divers can progress through Advanced Open Water and various specialty classes. The centre utilises e-learning to streamline the theoretical portion of your training.

Specialty training is a core part of their programme, with specific courses available for Deep Diving, Drift Diving, Boat Diving, and Wreck Diving. They also offer instruction in Underwater Navigation, Night/Limited Visibility diving, and Solo Diver training. For those looking to refine their skills, they provide Advanced Buoyancy Testing to help master trim and control.

The centre operates as a full-service dive shop with a range of equipment available for rent or purchase. For those needing a complete setup, they provide cylinders, regulators, gauges, BCDs, and dive computers. A limited selection of wetsuits is also available for hire.

For technical requirements, the shop provides reel and float sets and weights with belts. Nitrox is available for divers looking to extend their bottom time. Please note that a credit card, driver's license, and certification card are required for all equipment rentals.
