Maui Dive Shop

Located in Wailea, Maui Dive Shop provides access to some of the most diverse marine ecosystems in the Pacific. The area is home to the second largest population of endemic species in the world, making every dive an opportunity to see life found nowhere else on Earth.

With over four decades of local experience, the centre has built a reputation for reliable service and deep knowledge of the local waters. From the volcanic structures of the offshore craters to the sheltered reef flats, the diving here caters to a wide spectrum of experience levels.

The centre operates with a focus on professional instruction and long-standing local heritage, having served the island since 1978. They work in partnership with Dive Wailea to facilitate a comprehensive range of training programmes.

Their team is experienced in managing both beginner divers through introductory programmes and advanced divers pursuing specialised certifications. The guides are well-versed in the local currents and marine life, ensuring that safety remains the priority during every excursion.

The centre offers a complete suite of PADI and SSI training. For those new to the water, they run Discover SCUBA and Bubblemaker programmes, leading into the full Open Water Certification Course and the PADI Scuba Diver to OW Upgrade.

Experienced divers can further their skills through the PADI Advanced Open Water Certification Course, Deep Diver, and Underwater Navigation specialties. They also provide targeted training for Peak Performance Buoyancy and Night Diver certifications.

The shop provides various options for divers needing equipment, including full kit hire for those travelling without their own regulator, BCD, or fins. They also offer smaller rental items such as masks and fins for snorkellers.

For those looking for more than just a standard dive, the centre works with Alii Nui Sailing Charters to provide luxury boat charters, which can include sunset cruises and whale watching opportunities.

The waters around Maui are famous for their large pelagics and frequent sightings of Honu (green sea turtles). You will often see whitetip reef sharks patrolling the reefs and Hāhālua (manta rays) gliding through the water column.
