Delight Diving

Delight Diving has been a fixture in the Vietnamese diving scene for over 15 years, operating two distinct bases to follow the optimal diving seasons. You will find them in Nha Trang from May to October, and in Phu Quoc from October to May, ensuring the best conditions for your dives.

Based in the Khanh Hoa province and the Kien Giang archipelago, the centre provides a gateway to some of the region's most diverse marine ecosystems. Whether you are looking for the calm, shallow reefs of Phu Quoc or the more challenging walls of Nha Trang, the centre is structured to handle various experience levels.

The centre is an SSI affiliated operation with a focus on safety and environmental respect. They maintain a small group environment, with a maximum of 4 divers per guide, ensuring you receive attentive supervision during your dives.

Their team provides a wide range of training, from introductory Try Scuba sessions to professional paths including Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Open Water Instructor. They also offer specialised skills training such as React Right and Diver Stress & Rescue to ensure a high standard of safety for the entire buddy pair.

Delight Diving offers a comprehensive SSI curriculum catering to every stage of a diver's development. For those just starting, they provide Try Scuba, Junior Open Water Diver, and Open Water Diver courses. Beginners can progress through the Advanced Adventurer and Deep Diving programmes to build confidence and skill.

Specialised training is also available to refine specific disciplines, such as Perfect Buoyancy, Navigation, Night Diving & Limited Visibility, and Photo & Video. For those pursuing a career in diving, the centre runs Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Open Water Instructor courses, alongside the React Right course to enhance safety skills.

The centre provides a full range of rental kit for those not travelling with their own equipment. This includes everything required for a complete dive, from regulators to BCDs and fins.

For those looking to extend their bottom time, Enriched Air Nitrox is available on site. All trips include essential safety equipment and oxygen on board, with lunch, snacks, and refreshments provided during the day.

The reefs are home to a vibrant array of tropical reef fish, including clownfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, and pufferfish. You will also encounter various crustaceans such as crabs, shrimp, and lobsters, alongside sea urchins and giant clams.

For those with an eye for macro life, the sites offer excellent opportunities to find nudibranchs, cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and various species of shrimp (Caridea). During night dives, you may encounter octopus, squid, and crabs, as well as bioluminescence on the shallower reefs.

Larger residents include rays (Batoidea), moray eels, and occasionally bamboo sharks. The coral architecture itself is a major draw, with massive gorgonians, sea whips, and various soft corals providing the structural backbone of the ecosystem.

Diving conditions in Vietnam are highly seasonal. In Phu Quoc, the best window is from October to May, while Nha Trang is best visited from May to October.

While many sites offer gentle currents, some locations like Hon Noc can experience unpredictable currents that require more advanced buoyancy and navigation skills. Visibility typically ranges between 5 and 15 metres depending on the location and season.
