Marine conditions in the Maldives vary by season. From January to April, the seas are generally calmer with good visibility in the South Ari Atoll. Between May and October, higher plankton levels are present, which attracts more whale sharks and manta rays to the surface.

During the transition period of November and December, you can expect a balance of good visibility and high encounter rates. Be prepared for potentially strong currents when visiting sites like Dhiggiri Shark Point.
