BRETANIDE Sport & Wellness Resort - All Inclusive is built for a holiday where the practical decisions have already been made: meals are covered, the beach is close, and there is enough on site to keep a non-diving day from turning into a hunt for something to do. You have a restaurant, a bar, an outdoor pool, a spa, fitness facilities and evening entertainment within the resort itself.

The mood is active rather than hushed. You can cycle, walk, play tennis or table tennis, then move on to a massage, a drink or a live performance without having to organise the whole evening from scratch. Families are catered for with a kids' club, children's entertainment and play areas, while couples have the beach and the wider Bol area within easy reach.

You are in Bol, on the island of Brač, with direct access to a sandy beach. Potočine Beach is about 0.05 miles away, while Borak Beach and the famous Zlatni Rat Beach are each roughly 0.2 miles from the resort. Zlatni Rat stretches almost half a kilometre into the sea, so the coastline here is not merely a strip of sand beside the hotel; it is one of the defining sights of the area.

Bol Bus Station is about 0.8 miles away, and Stina Winery is at a similar distance. You can reach several nearby bars and restaurants on foot, including Auro and its cocktail bar near Zlatni Rat, Mali raj and Aria. For a little more history, Villa Rustica Zlatni Rat is around 0.4 miles away, while the Blaca Desert is about 5.5 miles from the resort.

The standard double or twin rooms are compact, straightforward spaces for two, with either two single beds or a double bed depending on the option. That makes them a sensible choice if you treat the room as a place to sleep, shower and reset between outings rather than as an indoor sitting room. Single rooms cover the same basic need for solo travellers, without paying for space you will not use.

For a couple who wants the room to play a larger part in the holiday, the Junior Suite with Sea View is the more natural choice. The Senior Suites offer considerably more room and two bathrooms, which is useful when two people are working through the familiar post-beach routine at the same time. Sea views are available in one of the Senior Suite options too. The room facilities are practical: air conditioning for hot nights, a refrigerator for keeping water cold, a wardrobe, a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and a flat-screen TV.

Free WiFi is available in public areas and in some accommodation units, so you should not assume identical coverage from room to room. Daily housekeeping is included, and non-smoking rooms and family rooms are available.

All-inclusive is the operating principle here, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served across three restaurants: Konoba, Komin and Pizzeria. Breakfast is a buffet, and the buffet format continues through the main meals. The seasonal outdoor pool gives you an alternative to the sea, while the spa is there for the less energetic part of the day. You can book massages for the full body, back, neck, head or feet, or choose treatments such as facials, body scrubs, body wraps and mud baths. Sauna, hammam and jacuzzi facilities are also available, with the spa providing a proper place to stop rather than simply another item on a facilities list.

If your legs still have an opinion after walking along the coast, the fitness centre offers fitness and yoga classes. Tennis, table tennis, billiards, cycling and hiking provide more active options, with bicycle hire available on site. You can also settle into the evening entertainment, live music, film nights, karaoke, a nightclub or televised live sport. Families have a kids' club, children's entertainment, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a playground; adults can therefore manage a drink without conducting a full search operation.

Arrival is available from 15:00 to 23:00, and departure runs from 06:00 to 10:30. You need photo identification and a payment card at check-in, and the resort asks you to share your expected arrival time in advance. A 24-hour reception, concierge service, tour desk, luggage storage and express check-in and check-out cover the useful edges of the stay.

Brac Airport is about 2 miles away; Split Airport is roughly 25.5 miles away, with the journey involving the island and mainland connection rather than a simple road transfer. An airport shuttle is available to arrange with the resort, and a separate shuttle service is also offered. If you are driving, free private parking is available on site without a reservation, and car hire can be arranged. WiFi is free in the public areas, while some units also have access.
