The resort suits divers who want a straightforward base with more going on than a bed and a breakfast room. Air-conditioned, soundproofed accommodation gives you somewhere to recover, while the garden, terrace, beach access and nearby Bol keep the evening from becoming a negotiation about who is going back out.

Families are welcome, pets are allowed and the resort also works well for couples, particularly if a sea view and an easy walk to the beach matter more to you than a full programme of hotel entertainment.

You are in Bol, on the island of Brač, at Put Zlatnog rata 52. The resort has direct access to a golden-sand beach, with Zlatni Rat Beach roughly 50 metres away. Paklina Beach is about 350 metres away, while Potočine Beach is around 550 metres on foot and Borak Beach about 600 metres.

Bol’s historic centre sits roughly 1.1 miles away. You can reach it by public transport from the stop beside the hotel or by following the seafront promenade. That gives you a choice after diving: a short ride, or a coastal stroll when your legs still have one decent walk left in them.

The immediate area also brings a few useful alternatives for the evening. Villa Rustica Zlatni Rat is about 500 feet away, and bars and restaurants are within walking distance, including Mali raj at roughly 500 feet and several bars around 600 to 900 feet away.

The practical details are well judged for a diving stay. Air conditioning deals with the hot, salty aftermath of a day outside, while soundproofing helps keep the room separate from the resort and the beach once you have shut the door. A fridge, kettle, complimentary tea and coffee, safe, desk and flat-screen satellite television cover the useful basics without turning the room into a gadget showroom.

Choose a double room if you are travelling as a pair and want a simpler base, with either garden or side sea views. The sea-view suite makes more sense when the view is part of the holiday rather than a line on the booking page. For extra space, the suite with private garden and hot tub gives you an outdoor area of your own; the superior suite is the room to consider when several people need room to spread out rather than queue politely around one suitcase.

Balconies, terraces or garden access vary by accommodation, but the common thread is an easy place to sit, with outdoor furniture available. When you want to move but not return to the water, bicycles can be rented for exploring around Bol. The seafront route towards town is the uncomplicated option; longer outings take you further into the island’s landscape.

Water-sports facilities and boat excursions add something for a non-diving day, with windsurfing, canoeing, fishing and other activities available in the wider area. There is also a children’s club, making the resort workable for mixed-age groups, while couples can keep things simpler with a beach walk, a drink on the terrace or an evening in the garden.
