Blue Hole Diving Gozo is situated in Marsalforn, serving as a base for exploring the diverse underwater topography of the Maltese islands. The area is defined by its dramatic limestone formations, ranging from deep vertical walls and intricate cave systems to well-known artificial reefs.

The centre provides access to the most significant sites in the region, including the famous Blue Hole and the various wrecks scattered around Gozo and Comino. From the sheltered bays of Mgarr-ix-Xini to the deep pinnacles of Ras il-Hobz, the local waters offer a wide spectrum of environments for every level of diver.

Owned and operated by Wojtek and Mariola, the centre is built on a foundation of personal passion for the Gozitan marine environment. The team is composed of qualified instructors dedicated to the SSI standards, ensuring a professional approach to both recreational and advanced diving.

They also provide Scuba Skills Update sessions and Underwater Photography training for those looking to refine their technical abilities or creative skills.

The centre provides a full range of rental equipment for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes everything required for a complete dive, from regulators to BCDs and fins.

For those looking to extend their bottom time or dive deeper, Nitrox is available on-site. The centre also provides 12-litre steel cylinders as part of their standard dive offerings, along with weights and necessary accessories.

The marine life around Gozo is diverse, with the rocky walls and pinnacles hosting large schools of fish, including tuna and sea bream. You will often find groupers, moray eels, and barracuda patrolling the crevices and ledges.

Macro life is abundant throughout the islands. Divers can find a variety of nudibranchs, seahorses, and various species of shrimp and crabs tucked away in the reef and cave systems. Octopus and cuttlefish are also frequently encountered among the rocks.

The seabed and reef structures are adorned with a rich array of fixed life, including various sponges, clams, and corals. These habitats support a wide range of smaller inhabitants such as wrasse, flying gurnard, and various crustaceans like lobsters and hermit crabs.

The local waters are subject to light to moderate currents, which are quite frequent on certain sites. Divers are provided with current condition updates before every dive to ensure safe planning.

While the area is accessible year-round for technical diving, the most favourable conditions for recreational diving are typically found between April and November. During the autumn and winter months, increased wind can affect daily dive availability and site accessibility.
