Scuba Ibiza Diving Center

Located in the Marina Botafoch, Scuba Ibiza Diving Center serves as a central hub for divers exploring the waters around Ibiza and Formentera. The centre's position within the marina provides easy access to a variety of local amenities, including shops and dining, making it a convenient base for your diving holiday.

As a PADI 5 Star CDC and the first PADI Eco Center in the Balearic Islands, the centre operates with a high standard of professional training and environmental awareness. The Mediterranean waters here offer a diverse range of underwater landscapes, from shallow reef flats to deeper structures and wrecks.

The centre is led by a professional team that includes two permanent PADI Course Directors, ensuring a high level of expertise is available on-site. This allows for a wide range of advanced training and professional development courses to be conducted locally.

Instruction is delivered in a multilingual environment to accommodate international divers. The team provides briefings and guidance in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Catalan. To maintain safety and a personalised experience, dives are conducted in small groups, with a maximum of 5 to 6 divers per guide.

The training programme covers the full spectrum of PADI certifications. Beginners can start with Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver courses, while those looking to progress can undertake Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and Divemaster training.

For those pursuing professional paths, the centre offers the Instructor Development Course (IDC). Specialist training is also available, including PADI Deep Diver, PADI Wreck Diver, and Nitrox courses to enhance your technical capabilities.

The centre manages logistics to ensure comfort once you are on the water, with cylinders and weights provided directly on the boat. This helps to simplify the process of getting ready for your dive and reduces the amount of heavy lifting required on shore.

The shore-based facilities at Marina Botafoch are designed for diver convenience, featuring a dedicated classroom for theory work, a gear storage area, and a rinsing zone with a terrace. After your dives, you can make use of the hot showers provided on-site.

The centre is equipped with an AIR/NITROX filling station, making Nitrox readily available for those looking to extend their bottom time. A dive shop is also located on-site for any necessary kit requirements.

The local marine life is diverse, with regular sightings of great barracuda and dolphins. During the spring, the area becomes particularly interesting for those looking for seahorses during their reproduction period.

In the warmer months, as the water temperature rises, you are more likely to encounter great barracuda during their reproduction cycles. The reefs and structures provide plenty of habitat for various species.

Macro life enthusiasts can find seahorses in the seagrass meadows and around sites like Malvin Sur. The Mediterranean seabed here supports a variety of smaller organisms that reward observant divers.

Diving is possible year-round in the Balearic Islands, with water temperatures ranging from 14°C to 29°C. The variety of depths and sites allows for a range of experiences depending on the season and your certification level.
