Raya’s Diving Center

Raya’s Diving Center has been a fixture of the Tossa de Mar diving community for more than 25 years. Situated on the Costa Brava, the centre provides a gateway to the Mediterranean's rocky reefs and underwater topography through both shore-based entries and boat excursions.

As an SSI affiliated centre, they cater to a broad spectrum of divers, from those taking their first breaths underwater to seasoned professionals. Their expertise extends beyond the local Spanish coastline, with a focus on organising specialised dive safaris and liveaboards to world-class destinations like the Galápagos, Komodo, and the Maldives.

The team at Raya’s Diving Center is experienced in managing both recreational training and professional development. They are equipped to guide divers through the entire SSI progression, including the intensive 10-day professional programmes for those aiming for Divemaster or Instructor levels.

Communication is streamlined for an international clientele, with the team speaking Spanish, Catalan, English, French, and Russian. This multilingual approach ensures that technical instruction and safety briefings are clearly understood by divers from various backgrounds.

The training programme is extensive, covering all levels of SSI certification. Beginners can start with Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver courses, while those looking to increase their depth limits can progress to Advanced Open Water Diver and Deep Diver specialties.

For more technical or specialised interests, the centre offers training in Nitrox, Sidemount, Dry Suit diving, and underwater photography and video. They also provide professional path training, including Diver Stress & Rescue, Divemaster, and Open Water Instructor programmes. Specialized skills such as Search and Recovery and the use of underwater scooters (DPV) are also part of their curriculum.

The centre organises dive outings using both shore entries and dedicated boats to access the local sites around Tossa de Mar. These excursions allow you to explore the coastline and reach deeper reefs that are inaccessible from the beach.

The centre provides full equipment hire for divers who prefer not to carry their own kit. This includes a complete range of essential items such as wetsuits, regulators, and fins.

For those looking to expand their technical capabilities, Nitrox is available on-site. The facility is set up to support various specialties, including sidemount configuration and the use of Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPV).
