Blue Dolphin, Djerba

Located in the Robbana area of Djerba, Blue Dolphin has been operating since 2006. Founded by Mongi and Anne-Françoise, the centre focuses on sharing the Mediterranean's underwater landscape through a personalised approach to every dive.

The centre serves as a gateway to the diverse seabed of the Tunisian coast, ranging from shallow rocky formations to deeper wreck sites. Whether you are looking for your first bubbles or are an experienced diver seeking specific wrecks, the local sites offer a variety of environments to explore.

The centre is run by a team of instructors who hold certifications through ADIP, CMAS, and SSI. This multi-affiliation allows them to cater to a wide range of training requirements and certification standards.

Instruction is tailored to the individual, with specific programmes available for children through SSI. The team also offers specialised training such as DiveMedic and various rescue-oriented courses to enhance diver safety and skill levels.

Blue Dolphin offers a comprehensive curriculum through SSI, CMAS, and ADIP. Beginners can start with the SSI Junior Open Water Diver or Scuba Diver courses, progressing through to the Open Water Diver certification.

For more advanced divers, the centre provides Deep Diving, Navigation, and Perfect Buoyancy courses. Professional training is also available, including the SSI Dive Guide and the full SSI Divemaster pack. Specialized ADIP certifications are offered, ranging from Basic Diver up to Diver 4**** (Guide de palanquée).

For those travelling light, a full range of rental equipment is available on-site, including masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits. You can also hire dive computers and torches for night diving sessions.

All dives include the use of a cylinder, weights, and a weight belt. The centre maintains its kit to ensure reliability for both exploration dives and training sessions.

The rocky habitats and seagrass meadows around Djerba are home to a variety of Mediterranean species. You can regularly encounter groupers, golden seabream, and silver seabream patrolling the reefs.

In the sandy areas and around the rocky outcrops, keep an eye out for rays and various species of octopus. Turtles are also a common sight for divers exploring the local sites.

Macro life and smaller residents include cornetfish and various species of sponges. The rocky structures also provide plenty of hiding spots for sea urchins and other smaller invertebrates.

Diving in the area involves a variety of environments, from shallow rocky reefs to deeper offshore wrecks. The depth of the sites varies significantly, from the 1-metre depths of Sidi Soliman to the 40-metre depth of the Attitala wreck.
