Sea View Hotel

Sea View Hotel is for divers who would rather keep the evening simple: sea in front, a room with somewhere to sit outside, food on site and Kas within walking distance. The hotel has been open since 2016 and sits directly on the seafront, with a private beach area, terrace and jetty. You can finish the day with salt still on your skin, order something to eat, and avoid turning the post-dive recovery period into a logistical exercise.

The mood is more practical than theatrical. Air conditioning, soundproofing, a minibar, WiFi throughout the hotel and a 24-hour front desk cover the useful parts of a diving day, while sun loungers and umbrellas give you somewhere to do very little afterwards. The hotel's website is available in English, Turkish and Russian, so English-speaking guests can at least find their way around the essentials before arrival.

You are in Kas, Turkey, on the seafront and around 300 metres from the town centre. That puts the hotel close enough for an evening walk without making you choose between a waterfront stay and access to the town. The Ataturk Statue is roughly 400 metres away, while the Lycian Rock Tombs are about 550 metres from the hotel.

Little pebble Beach is around 200 metres away, and Big pebble Beach is about 0.7 miles away. Ince Bogaz Cinar Beach sits roughly 1.5 miles from the hotel, with Akcagerme Beach about 2.8 miles away. Kas Bus Station is approximately 0.5 miles away, and Kastellorizo Airport is listed at 5 miles from the property. The surrounding streets also give you nearby places to eat and drink, including Derya Beach & Cafe, Meyhane Myra, Barcelona and Hideaway Bar & Cafe.

Choose your room according to what you want to see when you draw the curtains. The Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and Sea View is the obvious choice if the morning sea matters, while the side-sea-view version gives two guests a more compact base with a king-size bed and balcony. For a couple wanting more room to spread out after a full day, the King Suite with Sea View is the largest option and includes a private bathroom.

The Family Suite is the sensible pick when three people are sharing, with a king-size bed and two sofa beds. It gives you more breathing space than the smaller double rooms, which matters when three sets of clothes, bags and post-dive clutter begin competing for the same corners. The Honeymoon Suite is designed for two, with the room itself rather than family flexibility as the priority.

Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom, balcony access, a minibar and free WiFi. Bathrobes, slippers, a hairdryer and free toiletries keep the practical business out of your luggage, while extra-long beds are useful if your legs have already had enough for one day. Daily housekeeping is included, and soundproofing should help make the night less vulnerable to every passing conversation outside. Upper floors are reached by stairs only, so bear that in mind if your knees have their own opinions.

The on-site restaurant serves Mediterranean food and includes halal options. You can choose between traditional, modern and romantic dining settings, which gives the evening a little flexibility: straightforward food after diving, or a more considered table when the day is not being measured in surface intervals.

There is a bar and a snack bar, so the hotel covers more than a formal sit-down meal. Breakfast can be served in your room, while the minibar gives you something cold without requiring a walk downstairs. Wine and champagne, fruit and grocery deliveries are also available, with the latter useful when you want supplies in the room rather than another restaurant decision.

The town adds alternatives close by. Derya Beach & Cafe is practically next door, Meyhane Myra is roughly 200 metres away, and Barcelona is about 400 metres from the hotel. In other words, you can eat at the hotel or wander out without needing transport, a useful arrangement when the day's main achievement was getting your wetsuit off.

The private beach area, seafront terrace and jetty give you the main answer for a non-diving afternoon: find a sun lounger, put up an umbrella and let the water do the entertaining. Outdoor furniture and a sun terrace mean you can choose between sitting properly and adopting the familiar post-dive position that involves very little movement.

Snorkelling and canoeing are available as paid activities, so the hotel can keep you on the water without turning every day into a full dive programme. The beach itself is free to use, and Little pebble Beach is around 200 metres away if you want a change of scene.

For something more urban, Kas is close enough to explore on foot. The Ataturk Statue and Lycian Rock Tombs are nearby, while the Kas Hellenistic Theatre is roughly 1.3 miles away. The concierge and tour desk can help with local arrangements, and luggage storage is useful if you arrive early or have a late departure.

Check-in runs from 14:00 to midnight, with check-out by 12:00. You need to tell the hotel your expected arrival time, and photo identification plus a credit card are required at check-in.
