The marine life at Ras Abu Daoud is diverse and offers plenty for both macro enthusiasts and those looking for larger pelagics. You will regularly encounter moray eels (Muraenidae), nudibranchs (Chromodoris willani), and various species of scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae).

For those watching the sandy patches and reef structures, keep an eye out for octopus (Octopus vulgaris), seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), and lobster (Homaridae). The reef is also home to a variety of colorful fish, including butterflyfish (Chaetodon) and parrotfish (Calotomus).

The larger inhabitants of these waters include giant eagle rays, mobula rays, and large rays. It is not uncommon to see schools of fish moving across the reef, alongside various species of shark (Selachimorpha) such as the leopard shark (Triakis semifasciata).
