Global Scuba Oman provides access to the diverse underwater landscapes stretching from the Dimaniyat Islands to Bandar Khairan. With three distinct operational bases, the centre is positioned to serve different diving styles, whether you are looking for the relaxed reef environments of the protected marine areas or the more technical challenges found further afield.

The operation is built around a fleet of ten modern speed powerboats, which allow for efficient transit to key sites. These vessels are designed to accommodate groups of 10 to 28 passengers, providing a stable platform for both day trips and specialized excursions like night diving or camping trips.

The team is composed of experienced instructors, divemasters, and captains who possess an in-depth knowledge of the local Omani waters. This local expertise is central to their approach, ensuring that dive profiles are tailored to the specific conditions of each site.

As an SSI affiliated centre, they offer a comprehensive educational pathway. The staff is equipped to guide you through everything from your first breaths underwater to professional-level certifications, maintaining a focus on safety and technical proficiency.

The centre provides the complete range of SSI training programmes. For those starting their journey, courses include Scuba Explorer, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver. As you progress, you can specialise with Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, or specialty courses such as Wreck Diver and Perfect Buoyancy Diver.

For more advanced or technical divers, the curriculum extends to Advanced Wreck Penetration, Decompression Diving, and Search and Recovery. Professional training is also available for those looking to enter the industry, covering Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Instructor levels.

The centre operates ten modern speed powerboats, each capable of carrying between 10 and 28 passengers. These vessels are fully covered, providing shade for divers during transit and while on the water.

For full-day excursions, the boats are equipped with snacks, water, juices, and a variety of food including sandwiches, pastries, and fruit. They are also prepared for night diving trips, ensuring all necessary support is available on board for after-sunset sessions.

Full equipment rental is available for divers who prefer not to carry their own kit, including essential items like BCDs, regulators, and exposure suits. Partial rentals are also an option for those travelling with some of their own gear.

Safety is a priority on shore, with oxygen kits available on-site to support dive operations.

The reefs are a vibrant habitat for a wide variety of fish, including parrotfish, clownfish, groupers, and tuna. You will often find large shoals of fish circling above the reefs, alongside barracuda and various species of eels.

In the sandy areas and around the reef edges, it is common to encounter stingrays, zebra sharks, and mobula rays. The islands are also a vital nesting ground for sea turtles, including the Hawksbill Sea Turtle and the Green Sea Turtle.

Macro life and resident creatures include octopus, crabs, starfish, lobsters, and various mollusks. For those looking for larger encounters, whale sharks may be seen during certain seasons.

During night dives, the environment changes as you can encounter bioluminescence and different nocturnal behaviours from the resident species.

The Daymaniyat Protected Area is characterised by minimal tidal influence, resulting in little to no current in most sites. This creates calm and comfortable conditions, particularly suitable for beginners.

For those looking for more varied environments, the coastline towards Bandar Khairan offers different topographical features, but the primary diving areas remain relatively stable.
