Located on the Coral Coast of Viti Levu, Diveaway Fiji has been a fixture of the local diving community since 2003. As the only PADI 5 Star centre on the Coral Coast, it has spent over two decades mapping the local reefs and discovering the sites that now form its core itinerary.

The centre operates from the village of Tagaqe, with satellite shop locations at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort, Fiji Hideaway Resort, and Mango Bay Resort. This allows them to serve divers staying across many of the major resorts along the coast, including the Warwick and Naviti resorts.

The centre is a PADI 5 Star operation, which is a distinction reflecting their long-standing presence and established training standards. They focus on maintaining small dive groups to ensure an intimate experience for every diver on the boat.

Instruction is conducted in English, covering the full spectrum of PADI training. From the initial Discover Scuba Diving sessions for beginners to professional-level Divemaster training, the team manages a comprehensive curriculum.

The training programme is extensive, beginning with the Bubble Makers for children and moving through to the PADI Open Water Diver and Scuba Diver courses. They also offer Open Water Diver Referrals for those looking to complete their training elsewhere.

For more experienced divers, the centre provides Advanced Open Water Diver, Deep Diver, and Wreck specialties. They also facilitate the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster programmes, as well as Emergency First Response training.

The fleet consists of five dedicated boats, each suited to different types of diving. For beginners and those doing Discover Scuba Diving, the Ratu Sean is used to provide a stable and controlled environment.

Certified divers typically head out on the Diver Down or the Adi Vonu. For longer excursions to Beqa Lagoon or Yanuca Island, the centre utilises its larger vessels, the Aquarium and the Deep Diver.

The centre provides full equipment hire, with kit maintained by a qualified on-site technician. They stock reliable brands including Scubapro, Sea Quest, Mares, and TUSA, ensuring that your regulator, BCD, and fins are in good working order.

For those looking to complete their training more efficiently, the centre supports PADI eLearning, allowing you to finish your theory before you arrive on the Coral Coast.

The reefs are defined by a high density of hard and soft corals, including large sea fans and gorgonians. You will regularly encounter turtles, eagle rays, and great barracuda patrolling the reef edges.

Shark species are a regular presence, particularly during the specialized dives in the Beqa Lagoon. The biodiversity includes a wide array of tropical reef fish, such as longnose hawkfish, as well as octopus and various species of reef fish.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants include crinoids and a variety of tropical species that inhabit the intricate structures of the coral gardens.

Diving in the Beqa Lagoon and along the Coral Coast involves various environments, from shallow reef flats to deeper walls and drift dives. The centre offers night diving, allowing for a completely different perspective on the nocturnal marine life.
