Kaikoura Beach is the immediate option for a stroll beside the water, a bit of fresh air or a quiet look at the coast. The property also has a garden, outdoor furniture and a picnic area, so you have somewhere to sit without needing to turn every spare hour into an organised activity.

The barbecue facilities are useful for a relaxed evening, particularly if you have picked up food in town and would rather eat outdoors than queue for another table. There is also a cinema and a range of shops, cafés and activities within walking distance, giving you an easy change of scene when you have had enough of looking at the same four walls.
