Red Sea Blue Paradise

Blue Paradise Dive School has been a fixture of the Hurghada diving scene since 1999. Located in Egypt's Red Sea, the centre has built a reputation over two decades by focusing on the technical precision and personalised attention that seasoned divers expect.

The operation caters to a wide spectrum of divers, from those completing their first Open Water Diver course to technical divers seeking rebreather or Trimix support. With affiliations in both PADI and SSI, the school ensures that your certification is recognised globally, regardless of your preferred training path.

The instruction team is composed of multilingual professionals, capable of conducting courses in English, French, German, Dutch, Russian, Polish, and Arabic. This breadth of language ensures that technical details and safety briefings are communicated clearly and without ambiguity.

Training is conducted in small groups, typically limited to 4 or 5 students, to maintain a high standard of supervision. This approach allows instructors to focus on individual buoyancy and trim, which is essential for moving from recreational diving into more advanced specialties.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the full range of PADI and SSI certifications. Beginners can start with the PADI Open Water Diver or SSI Open Water Diver courses, while those looking to progress can move through Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water, and Rescue Diver levels.

For more experienced divers, the centre offers a variety of specialised training, including PADI Wreck Diver, SSI Deep Diving, and SSI Sidemount Diver. Technical and advanced options are also available, such as SSI Decompression Diver, SSI Rebreather support, and various specialties like SSI Wreck Diving, SSI Navigation, and SSI Perfect Buoyancy.

The centre's primary vessel is the Basyl, a 27-metre boat specifically designed with the diver's workflow in mind. It features a spacious teak diving deck, a large lounge area, and a sun deck for relaxing between dives. Onboard facilities include clean toilets, showers, and a bar available on the Volantis.

A zodiac is always kept on hand to accompany the boat, providing extra flexibility for accessing shallower reef flats or ensuring safety during drift dives. For those opting for liveaboard safaris, the centre operates several vessels, including the Volantis, Exocet, and Nautile Evo, which offer full board and include Nitrox for certified divers.

The centre maintains a full range of high-quality rental kit from recognised brands such as Scubapro, Suunto, and Aqualung. Divers can find everything required for a complete setup, including regulators, BCDs, and fins.

Safety is integrated into the shore-based facilities with readily available oxygen, first aid kits, and a safety cylinder kept at a 5-metre depth. For those on liveaboards, the service includes the provision of 12L and 15L aluminium or steel cylinders, filled to a minimum of 210 bars.

The Red Sea waters around Hurghada host a vibrant array of marine life. You will regularly encounter various fish species, corals, and turtles, along with Napoleon wrasse and moray eels. On many dives, eagle rays can be spotted patrolling the reef.

For those with an interest in macro photography or closer inspection, the area is home to nudibranchs. The presence of pelagics, such as dolphins and occasionally swordfish, adds a dynamic element to the seasonal sightings in these waters.

The reef structure itself is built upon a foundation of diverse corals, providing the essential habitat for the local ecosystem.
