The archipelago is famous for its large pelagics. You will frequently encounter hammerhead sharks (Sphyrna lewini), Galapagos sharks, whitetip sharks, and blacktip sharks. Eagle rays (Aetobatus) and various mobulas, including Manta ray (Mobula alfredi), are also common visitors to these waters.

In the mid-water and around the reefs, you can spot Tuna (Thunnus), wahoos, and various Jacks (Carangidae). Large green turtles and diverse species of rays, including stingrays and marble rays, move through the area, often alongside much larger bump-head sunfish.

The reef itself is populated by a variety of colourful fish, such as Snapper (Lutjanus), Parrotfish (Calotomus), and Surgeonfish (Acanthuridae). You will also see Triggerfish (Balistidae), pufferfish (Arothron hispidus), and various species of butterflyfish and bannerfish.

On the edges of the volcanic structures and near the seafloor, look for Moray eel (Muraenidae), Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda), and Galapagos grunts. The biodiversity extends to smaller residents like hogfish and various species of colorful reef fish that inhabit the crevices.
