English-speaking staff make Little Town Villa an easy base for exploring Hoi An, the nearby coast and arranged trips to the Cham Islands. The setting is peaceful, but not cut off from the useful bits of town. You can return from the water, cool down in the air-conditioned room, then walk out for dinner without turning the evening into a transport exercise.

This is a practical choice for divers travelling as a couple, with family, or simply wanting a small villa rather than a large resort. English and Vietnamese are spoken by the hotel team, so the basics should be straightforward from arrival onwards.

You are in Cam An, Hoi An, in central Vietnam, with the sea about 0.3 miles away and An Bang Beach a short walk from the villa. The beach has golden sand, sun loungers and parasols. Cua Dai Beach is about 3.3 miles away by road, while Ha My Beach is roughly 3.5 miles away, so this is a coastal base rather than a hotel directly on the sand.

Hoi An Ancient Town is about 1.2 miles away. The Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation is around 0.3 miles from the villa, and the Hoi An Historic Museum is about 0.6 miles away. You can also reach the Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Old House and the town’s museums on foot, although the distances are long enough for a bicycle or car to earn its keep in the heat.

Da Nang International Airport is about 19 miles away, with the journey by car taking around half an hour in normal conditions. Little Town Villa is therefore well placed for combining beach time, old-town wandering and diving excursions without staying in the busiest part of the historic centre.

For two, the choice is mainly about what you want to look at when you are not looking at the ceiling. The Superior Double Room faces the garden, while the Deluxe rooms can look towards the pool or the city. A pool-view room suits a couple who wants the shared outdoor space close by; the city-view option puts you nearer to the life of Hoi An without giving up the comfort of an air-conditioned room.

Travelling with family? The Family Room with Balcony is the sensible pick, with two large beds and enough room to avoid the usual holiday arrangement where every suitcase becomes a trip hazard. Couples wanting a straightforward night can choose a Deluxe Double Room, while twin beds are available in one of the pool-view arrangements.

Every room has air conditioning, a private bathroom, free toiletries, towels, slippers and a hairdryer. There is also a desk, flat-screen TV, wardrobe or dressing room, kettle and refrigerator. Soundproofing is available in the rooms and the property also lists fans, so you have more than one way to settle the room after a hot day outside. No heroic claims about fine dining are needed here; the clear angle is local food, an outdoor setting and meals available across the day.

There is a bar and a snack bar on site, plus outdoor seating for a drink or something small between meals. If you want to vary the menu, nearby restaurants include Nhà Hàng Mammas Gourmet, Ole Spain and Com Gà Hoàng, all within a few hundred feet. Cafés and coffee bars are similarly close, including Eco Life Coffee Bar.

The outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace give you a place to unwind without organising another outing. Sun loungers and garden seating are provided, while the year-round pool is a useful option when the beach is not the plan. A children’s pool and pool toys are also available, making the villa workable for mixed-age groups rather than only determined sunbathers.

For a more active afternoon, bicycles and cycling are available, with bike tours, walking tours, hiking and canoeing among the activities on offer. Kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling and boat excursions can also be arranged, while the coast and the Cham Islands provide the obvious reason to get back on the water when you are ready.

The slower options are covered too. Cooking classes and local-culture tours give you something more substantial than another hour beside the pool, and excursions can be arranged to My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An Ancient Town. Check-in starts at 14:00 and check-out is by 12:00. You will need photo identification and a payment card at check-in, and the villa asks you to share your expected arrival time in advance.
