Sandals Royal Bahamian combines a large all-inclusive resort on Nassau with Barefoot Cay offshore, so your day can move from a beach on Cable Beach to a quieter cove across the water without changing address.

The tone is polished and busy enough to keep you occupied, but the private-island option gives you somewhere else to disappear to when the main resort has had quite enough of your company. There are seven pools, five whirlpools, live music, evening entertainment and several places to eat and drink. For honeymooners or couples marking an anniversary, the room choice matters: some categories add a sea view, a swim-up terrace, a private pool or butler service rather than merely changing the name on the door.

The resort’s website is available in Spanish, so Spanish-speaking guests are clearly part of its intended audience. The practical point remains simple: this is a couples-only Nassau base with plenty happening on site and a private island attached by a short boat ride.

The address is on West Bay Street in Nassau, Bahamas, directly beside Cable Beach. You can step from the resort towards the beach rather than arranging a transfer every time you fancy salt water, and the property also has its own private beach area. Barefoot Cay adds two private coves: one set up for relaxing and another suited to exploring and snorkelling.

Lynden Pindling International Airport is about 4.6 miles away, with a drive of roughly 15 minutes. That is useful after a long flight and equally useful on departure day, when nobody wants to turn a final breakfast into an expedition. Nassau’s surrounding beaches include Goodman's Bay Beach at about 1.2 miles by road and Sandyport Beach at about 1.3 miles.

You are not cut off from everyday Nassau. Cricketers Pub and several cafés and restaurants sit within roughly 0.2 miles, while Mother Louise Sweeting Park is about 1.7 miles away by road. Lake Cunningham is around 2.9 miles away on foot by the mapped route, and Nassau Botanical Gardens is about 4.7 miles away by road.
