Escapade Plongée is situated on the Saint-Gilles les Bains marina, providing easy access to the varied dive sites surrounding Réunion. The centre operates year-round, adapting its daily programmes to the local weather conditions and the specific interests of the divers on board.

Whether you are looking for your first underwater experience or are a technical diver seeking Trimix or rebreather support, the centre is equipped to handle a wide spectrum of requirements. The location on the port is practical, with ample free parking available nearby, making the logistics of your diving day straightforward.

The centre maintains a focus on safety and close supervision, particularly for those new to the sport. For beginners or supervised divers, the instructor-to-diver ratio is kept to a maximum of one guide for every four divers.

In addition to leisure diving, the centre is a professional training facility. It is Qualiopi certified, offering professional courses such as CAH mention A and B, as well as instructor bridge programmes for those looking to progress in their diving careers.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering everything from initial Discover Scuba Diving baptisms to advanced professional qualifications. For recreational divers, the centre offers PADI and SDI courses including Open Water Diver, Advanced Adventure, and Rescue Diver, alongside FFESSM levels such as Niveau 1 through Niveau 4.

Technical training is a significant part of the curriculum. You can undertake courses for Nitrox, Deep Diving, and Trimix (both normoxic and hypoxic), as well as rebreather training including Diluent Air Deco and rebreather cross-over courses. The centre also offers specialised training for underwater scooters (DPV) and Intro To Tech programmes.

The centre operates one dive boat that departs from the Saint-Gilles marina. The vessel is used for a variety of outings, including day trips and night dives, allowing you to explore the local reefs after sunset.

The shore base is equipped with a membrane Nitrox station, ensuring that enriched air is readily available for your dives. For technical divers, the centre also provides support for Trimix and rebreather diving.

If you prefer not to carry your own kit, a full range of equipment is available for hire. This includes masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits, allowing you to arrive at the marina with minimal luggage.

The waters around Réunion host a variety of large marine life, including turtles and various fish species. Divers can often encounter pelagics during their outings, depending on the specific site and conditions.
