Réunion Formation Plongée

Réunion Formation Plongée is a community-focused dive centre situated in Le Port. The centre is ideally positioned to access the Réunion Marine Reserve, which stretches from the Bay of La Possession to Saint-Gilles les Bains, offering a variety of underwater environments for divers of all levels.

Beyond standard reef explorations, the centre is well-known for its specific outings to encounter cetaceans. During the right season, you can join dedicated trips to swim alongside whales and dolphins, providing a unique perspective on the local pelagics.

The centre operates with a human scale, ensuring a personal and convivial atmosphere for every diver. Instruction is delivered by a professional team, maintaining a ratio of seven divers per guide to ensure close supervision and safety.

Training is available in French, covering both national French certifications and international standards. This dual approach makes the centre a versatile choice for local residents and visiting divers alike.

The centre provides a comprehensive range of training, from introductory Baptêmes to advanced certifications. You can work through the French certification levels including Niveau 1, Niveau 2, and Niveau 3.

For more technical or specialised training, the centre offers PADI courses such as Open Water, Advanced Adventure, and Rescue Diver. They also provide specialised training including Nitrox, PE 40, PA 20, and Niveau 4, as well as CAFSAN and Guide de Palanquée FSGT qualifications.

The centre operates outings from Le Port, with specific departures for whale watching scheduled for 8h. The boat has a capacity for 13 divers and is used for various excursions, including night dives.

Full kit rental is available on-site and is included in the cost of training courses and discovery dives.

For those looking to extend their bottom time, the centre provides Nitrox services. They offer free decompression to Nitrox 70% for all dives exceeding 20 metres.

The marine life in the area is dominated by seasonal visitors, particularly during the months of July to September when whales are present. You can also encounter dolphins throughout the year.

For those exploring the reef, the environment is rich with diverse marine life, providing plenty of opportunities for observation during both day and night dives.

Dive outings are scheduled on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. For those interested in cetaceans, specific morning excursions are organised on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
