O Sea Bleu

Ô Sea Bleu is situated directly on the Saint-Gilles les Bains marina in Réunion. The centre's proximity to the water allows for efficient departures, with most dive sites located within a protected marine reserve. This protected status ensures a high density of marine life for every outing.

Operating daily, the centre caters to a wide range of abilities, from those looking for their first breath underwater to experienced divers seeking deeper reef explorations. The centre has been established since 2023 and holds the Réunion Qualité Tourisme label, reflecting its commitment to professional standards.

The team is composed of three state-qualified instructors who manage all aspects of the diving programme. They prioritise a rigorous approach to safety and site knowledge, ensuring that every dive is conducted with professional oversight.

Instruction is conducted with a maximum ratio of two divers per guide. This small group size allows for personalised attention, whether you are working through a certification course or exploring a new reef site.

The centre is affiliated with SSI, FFESSM, and AIDA, making it a versatile choice for divers following different training lineages. All instruction is led by French-speaking professionals.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering everything from introductory discovery dives to advanced certifications. You can undertake SSI training, as well as French-style FFESSM courses.

For those interested in freediving, the centre offers AIDA courses ranging from beginner levels to instructor training. They also provide FFESSM apnée programmes.

Advanced training options include deep diving courses and specialised sunset dives. The centre's expertise extends to various levels of technical proficiency and specialised dive profiles.

The fleet consists of three different vessels with capacities of 13, 14, and 20 places. These boats are used to transport divers to various sites around the coast, with departures scheduled for the morning and afternoon.

For groups of six or more divers, it is possible to privatise a boat. This allows you to tailor the schedule and select specific dive sites according to your own preferences.

The centre maintains a regularly updated and well-serviced equipment park, provided in partnership with Scubapro. This ensures that the regulators, BCDs, and other essential kit are reliable and in good working order.

In addition to the rental of complete kits, the centre is equipped to handle the needs of divers who prefer to bring their own primary gear.

The marine reserve is home to a high density of reef fish. You will regularly encounter surgeonfish, triggerfish, and various species of rays. Large barracudas are also a common sight throughout the area.

Marine megafauna is a highlight of the local waters. Turtles are frequently seen amongst the coral, and cetaceans can be observed in the area throughout the year.

The reef structure itself is built upon a rich variety of corals and flora, providing the necessary habitat for the resident species. This biodiversity is a key feature of the Saint-Gilles marine environment.

Diving in the area is organised around morning and afternoon sessions. The sites are generally accessible to all levels of divers due to the relatively shallow depths of the reef flats and coral gardens.
