Ribarska Koliba Resort is an aparthotel-style resort in Verudela, built for guests who want more room than a standard hotel room and the option of settling in for a proper meal without heading back into town. Brijuni National Park is about 6 miles away for a day when you want something beyond the bay.

You also have a few nearby alternatives when the resort's table is not calling your name: Ribarska Koliba restaurant is only about 50 feet away, and other bars and restaurants are within roughly 1 mile. A boat for Fratarski Island, with its pebble beaches, is about 200 metres from the property.

The accommodation works best when you choose according to how you intend to use it. A Double Room is the straightforward choice for two, while a balcony room gives you somewhere outdoors to sit rather than treating the bed as the only available piece of furniture. The soundproofing, air conditioning and ceiling fan all matter more when you return tired, salty and ready for a shower rather than a tour of the minibar.

For couples who want the room to feel like part of the coastline, the suites with sea-view balconies are the natural choice. The one-bedroom suite suits a couple who values a separate living arrangement, while the Executive Suite offers the same broad idea with sea views and outdoor space.
