The setting is geared towards a straightforward island break: a room with air conditioning, a pool outside, a garden for sitting quietly and the sea close enough to shape the day.

Artemis Hotel suits couples particularly well, while families also have room to work with. The larger studio accommodates three people, and the hotel has family suites. There is a shared lounge and television area when you want company without committing to another outing. Nothing here requires a grand plan. You can swim, eat, wander into Antiparos Town and do it all again tomorrow.

You are in Antiparos Town, Greece, in a seafront position with sea views. Kaloudia Beach is about 200 metres away, while Antiparos Beach is roughly 700 metres from the hotel. Sifneikos Beach is around 700 metres away, with a ten-minute walk listed for the route. Psaraliki Beach is also within reach, at about 1 km for the nearer listing.

The immediate area keeps practical things close. Argo Restaurant is about 150 metres away, and Lollo's Antiparos roughly 700 metres. Three bars — Xbeerience Antiparos, Lucky Luke Bar-Antiparos and The Smile Company - Antiparos — are around a 600 to 700-metre walk. You can reach the Archaeological Site of Saliagos in about 500 metres by the listed road distance, while Paros National Airport is approximately 9 km away by road.

The hotel has direct access to a 200-metre golden-sand beach, with loungers, parasols and a beach bar. That gives you two useful choices: stay put when the sea is doing the work, or walk into town when dinner needs more variety.

If the balcony matters more than a harbour view, choose the room category that gives you one; if the view is the point, the harbour-view option puts the working waterfront into your morning.

For three guests, the Deluxe Double Studio is the practical choice, with one double bed and one single bed. That is the room to consider when a family group or a trio needs to share without turning the sleeping arrangements into a daily equipment check. The remaining rooms are better suited to couples or two friends travelling together.

Every room has air conditioning, a fan, a refrigerator, a television, a kettle and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The refrigerator earns its keep when you return hot, thirsty and rather less interested in sightseeing than you were at breakfast. The restaurant keeps a relaxed dress code, with lunch served from 12:00 to 15:00 and dinner from 19:00 to 22:00. Packed lunches can be prepared for days out, while all-day snacking covers the gap between a swim and a proper meal.

There is one bar, Apollo Bar, set beside the pool and specialising in cocktails. Room service runs on limited hours, from 11:00 to 22:00. That leaves you with a sensible rhythm: breakfast early, something portable if the day takes you away, and a cocktail by the pool when the salt has finally dried.

The main pool is outdoors, large and fitted with a swim-up bar. It is not adults-only, so families can use it too. Around it, the sun terrace, outdoor seating and garden give you several places to stop without having to turn relaxation into an organised activity. Sun umbrellas are available, which matters on an island where the afternoon can be less forgiving than the morning.

Artemis Spa offers massage, facials and a Jacuzzi in a 100-square-metre space. The hotel also has a gym and yoga classes for the rare day when you want to move deliberately rather than simply walk to the water. A hot tub adds another option when your legs have had enough of beaches and your back would prefer a more convincing argument.

Away from the pool, you can use kayaks and paddleboards, go snorkelling, hire equipment or join a boat excursion. On land, the hotel offers cycling, hiking, cooking classes and cultural excursions, including trips to Parikia town and Naoussa village. Live music and themed evenings bring some life to the night without making the whole stay depend on entertainment.

Paros National Airport is about 9 km away by road, with a driving time of roughly 22 minutes. The hotel offers an airport shuttle, arranged through the property, and car hire is also available. Free public parking is nearby, although spaces cannot be reserved. WiFi is available throughout the hotel, and luggage storage, a concierge, laundry and dry-cleaning services are available for the useful jobs that tend to appear between flights and boats.

Plan to arrive between 15:00 and 23:00, with departure between 07:30 and 11:00. Access to the property closes from 23:00 until 07:30, so a late return deserves some planning rather than a hopeful turn of the handle. There is no age requirement for check-in, children of all ages are welcome, and cots and extra beds are not available.
