Urco Divers

Located in the coastal town of Burela in the Lugo province, Urco Divers operates in the rugged and rewarding waters of the Cantabrian Sea. The centre distinguishes itself by rejecting the rushed pace of mass tourism, opting instead for a philosophy rooted in composure and precision.

Whether you are working on your buoyancy or progressing through technical modules, the focus here is on mastery and control. The environment demands respect, and the centre provides the structured approach necessary to navigate it with confidence and curiosity.

The centre follows SDI standards, providing a curriculum that emphasises safety and technical competence. Instruction is highly personalised, maintaining a strict ratio of no more than two students per instructor. This ensures that every diver receives the specific attention required to master their skills and feel secure in the water.

Beyond training, Urco Divers is integrated into the local community through its environmental work. A portion of the centre's revenue is donated to Ronsel do Urco, a local NGO dedicated to marine ecosystem restoration, environmental education, and citizen science.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of SDI training programmes. From initial entry-level certifications through to advanced levels, the curriculum is designed to build a foundation of calm and control.
