The centre is multilingual, with staff able to communicate in Spanish, English, and Catalan. This ensures that instruction and dive briefings are clear and precise, regardless of your native language.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering the full SSI spectrum. Beginners can start with the Open Water Diver course, while those looking to expand their skills can opt for Advanced Adventurer, Deep Diver, or specialties such as Night Diving, Orientation, and Perfect Buoyancy.

For professional divers, the centre provides pathways through the Divemaster programme and Dive Guide training. They also offer essential safety and rescue courses, including Stress & Rescue and the React Right First Aid certification.

The centre operates a catamaran for its boat-based excursions, providing a stable platform for diving. On board, you will find facilities including showers, changing rooms, and a bar for refreshments. Subkro offers full equipment hire for divers who do not wish to carry their own kit. This includes all the essentials required for a successful dive, from regulators to BCDs and fins. The centre is also equipped with oxygen safety systems on-site.

The marine life around Tarragona is diverse, with rocky structures and seagrass meadows providing ample habitat. You can encounter Atlantic bluefin tuna, barracudas, and white seabream patrolling the waters, alongside damselfish and goatfish.

On the reef and rocky sections, look for groupers, sargos, and various species of sea cucumbers. The area is also home to sea urchins and various crustaceans that inhabit the crevices of the Mediterranean floor.

Macro life enthusiasts will find plenty to observe among the rocks and Posidonia, including salmonetes, bicudas, and various species of sea cucumbers. The biodiversity of the local biotopes makes every dive an opportunity to see something new.

Diving conditions in the area can vary depending on local weather patterns. Following a storm, the water can become turbid due to runoff from local torrents, which may temporarily reduce visibility.

While many sites offer protection from currents through rocky structures, divers should be aware that conditions can change. The Acuario site, for example, is known for providing some protection against southern currents due to its position near the rocks.
