Restaurants, bars and clubs are within about 0.3 miles of the hotel, while Cara al Mar is roughly 0.1 mile away. Sant Vicenç de Calders railway station is about 0.8 miles away, El Vendrell is around 3 miles away, and Tarragona is approximately 19 miles from the hotel. The Pau Casals Museum is about 1.4 miles away, which gives a non-diving afternoon a useful destination rather than just another walk past souvenir shops.

The room choice is mainly about how much space and how much sea you want. The standard double or twin rooms work for two, with two single beds, a balcony and a straightforward layout. Sea-view versions put the Mediterranean into the first glance of the morning, which is generally more convincing than a television trying to provide atmosphere.

For couples who prefer room to spread out rather than simply somewhere to sleep, the Junior Suites offer more space. Family and triple arrangements are also available, including rooms with a sofa bed, while larger Junior Suite options accommodate up to four guests. The hotel also offers special-diet menus on request and a child-friendly buffet. Wine and champagne, fruit, and other drinks are available on site. If you prefer to eat elsewhere, nearby restaurants and bars begin within about 0.3 miles.

Two seasonal outdoor pools give you an alternative to the beach, with sun loungers, beach chairs, umbrellas and a sun terrace for the serious business of doing very little. The Rooftop Maramar +18 is reserved for adults, while the Splash Park gives families their own water-based distraction. There is also a poolside bar, which removes one of the great logistical challenges of staying beside a swimming pool: finding a drink without putting proper clothes on.

The spa is more substantial than a quick steam room stop. Facilities include a sauna, steam baths, hot tub, ice fountain, sensation showers and hydrotherapy, with massages, body wraps, aromatherapy and other beauty treatments available. The spa is for adults, and entry carries an additional charge. A relaxation lounge, massage chair and fitness centre round out the options for stiff shoulders and restless legs.

Away from water and wellness, you can use the games room, table tennis, darts or billiards, join the evening entertainment and live performances, or hire a bicycle. Cycling is available at the hotel, while horse riding and snorkelling are offered off site. A golf course is within 2 miles.

Reus Airport is about 20 miles away by road, and Barcelona El Prat Airport around 34 miles. The hotel can arrange car hire, and a tour desk is available for working out what to do once you have dried off. Private parking is available on site in a parking garage, with spaces not reservable.

Check-in runs from 14:00 to 23:00, and check-out from 07:00 to 11:00. You need photo identification and a credit card at check-in; cash is not accepted. The front desk is open around the clock, with luggage storage and lockers available when your arrival or departure does not quite fit the room timetable.

Children of all ages are welcome, although children aged 13 and over are charged as adults. Cots depend on the room selected and availability, and extra beds are not available. Pets are not allowed. Lifts, facilities for disabled guests, family rooms, heating and air conditioning are all available, and the entire hotel is non-smoking.
