Spindrift on the Beach is an aparthotel for divers who prefer a proper base rather than a polished box with nowhere to put the wet towels. You have a self-contained apartment, a private balcony facing the ocean and direct access to the beach, with enough living space to spread out after a day outdoors.

The mood is coastal and practical. You can swim from the beachfront, sit in a sun lounger overlooking the water or use the heated pool when the surf is doing its own thing. Families have room to function, while couples get the useful luxury of being able to step outside without starting an expedition.

The property sits directly on the beachfront, with Nobby’s Beach immediately outside and access to the patrolled flags beside the Nobby's Beach Surf Life Saving Club. This is beach life without the daily hunt for a parking space.

Shops and restaurants are about a five-minute walk away. Nobby’s Beach Surf Life Saving Club is around 150 feet away, while BSKT Cafe is roughly 350 feet from the property and Romanas about 850 feet away. Broadbeach North Tram Station is about 2.2 miles away, giving you a public transport option for exploring further along the coast.

Burleigh Heads is around 1.4 miles by road, with Burleigh Head National Park about 3 miles away. Surfers Paradise attractions are within driving distance, including SkyPoint Observation Deck at about 4 miles and Ripley's Believe It or Not! at roughly 4.5 miles.

The accommodation is built around two-bedroom apartments rather than standard hotel rooms. That matters when you have dive bags, day clothes, chargers and the general debris produced by a day beside the sea. The Beachside option keeps the same apartment-style layout while placing the emphasis on immediate access to the coast. Either way, you have a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, plus a dining table for meals that do not involve balancing a plate on your knee.

Laundry facilities include a washing machine and tumble dryer, which are useful after repeated beach days. A fan, heating, tiled or marble floors, a wardrobe and drying rack cover the practical side of the stay. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and a television with cable channels gives you something easy to watch when the weather, or your legs, calls time.

This is an apartment stay, so your kitchen is the main tool for breakfast, packed lunches and the meal that appears when everyone is too tired to dress properly. The oven, hob, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher make self-catering realistic rather than decorative. There is also a dining area, which is a small but important improvement on eating over the sink.

Outside, BBQ facilities overlook the beach. That gives you the option of keeping dinner simple, putting something on the grill and staying by the water instead of getting back in the car. The nearby Nobby’s Beach area adds cafés, takeaways, restaurants, bars and specialist shops, including a bakery, bottle shop, chemist and small supermarket.

For an easy meal close to base, Nobby's Beach Surf Life Saving Club is beside the property and serves lunch and dinner. BSKT Cafe and Romanas are also within walking distance, so the evening can range from a quick bite to a more deliberate outing without turning into a logistical exercise.

The beach is the main event here, with direct access to golden sand, sun loungers and parasols. The patrolled section outside Nobby’s Beach makes swimming easier to plan, while the beachfront setting gives you somewhere to sit when you have had enough water for one day. A sunset walk needs no timetable and no special equipment, which is often exactly the point.

There is one heated outdoor pool facing the beach, plus a spa pool. Use them when you want water without surf, sand or a lengthy negotiation with the weather. Sun chairs and the garden areas make it possible to read, doze or simply watch the coast while your dive computer dries somewhere sensible.

For a change of scenery, a golf course is within about 2 miles. The tour desk can also arrange tickets for Gold Coast theme parks, while Burleigh Head National Park is around 3 miles away for a walk through a rather different side of the coast.

Gold Coast Airport is about 8 miles away, usually around a 15-minute drive. Brisbane Airport is much further, at roughly 56 miles by road. Free private parking is available on site, with no reservation needed, which is useful if you are hiring a car for the coast or carrying more luggage than any airline would like to discuss.

Check-in starts from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. Bring photo identification and a credit card, and let the property know your expected arrival time. Cash is not accepted. The minimum check-in age is 18, and the apartments are non-smoking.

Children of any age are welcome. Cots and extra beds can be requested, subject to the selected accommodation and availability. The property has a strict no-party policy and does not accept bookings for the annual Schoolies Festival.
