Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport is about 6 miles away by road. Central Station is around 3 miles away, and the Sydney Opera House around 9 miles away, keeping the hotel well placed for combining a beach stay with the more familiar Sydney landmarks.

The choice is less about grand resort categories and more about how much private space you want. Solo travellers can take the single room, while couples have double and queen-bed options; friends travelling together can use the twin room. Several rooms use shared bathrooms, so check that detail carefully if a private bathroom is part of your post-dive recovery plan. The queen room with a private bathroom is the obvious pick for a couple who would rather not queue with a towel over one shoulder.

Every room has air conditioning, heating, a desk, a television and streaming services. There is also a refrigerator, an electric kettle and tea or coffee-making equipment, which matters when you return tired, thirsty and not yet ready to face the outside world.
