I AM DIVER is situated in the coastal village of Taganga, serving as a gateway to the marine protected areas of Parque Tayrona. The centre is integrated with MAR Academy Rescue, focusing on maintaining high training standards and professional safety protocols for every diver.

The reefs around Taganga and Parque Tayrona are home to a wide variety of marine life. You will encounter various species of Angelfish (Pomacanthidae), along with several types of Grunt (Haemulidae) and Sergeant majors moving through the water column.

Predators such as Barracuda (Sphyraena), Jack (Carangidae), and Lionfish (Pterois volitans) are often seen patrolling the area. You may also spot more elusive residents like the Moray eel (Muraenidae), Octopus (Octopoda), and various species of Ray (Batoidea).

The seabed and reef structures are enriched by a variety of life, including Sponge (Porifera) and Soft coral (Alcyonacea). Garden eels (Gorgasia) can be found amongst the sandy patches, while Seahorse (Hippocampus) and Pufferfish (Arothron hispidus) add detail to the smaller sections of the reef.

Larger inhabitants include turtles and Lobster (Homaridae), which add to the biodiversity of the park's waters. The presence of diverse corals and marine organisms creates a complex habitat for the many fish species that call this region home.
