Dive Center van de Ven

Duikcentrum van de Ven is a family-operated dive centre situated in the Jan Thiel area of Willemstad, Curaçao. Established in 2010, the centre has built a reputation for maintaining high professional standards, evidenced by its status as an SSI Diamond Center.

The operation focuses on a personalised approach to diving, moving away from the large, crowded groups often found in busier hubs. The team is composed of experienced SSI instructors, including Johan, Monique, Gerard, and Angelique. Gerard brings the expertise of a Master Instructor to the team, ensuring high-level guidance is available for advanced students and professionals alike.

Instruction is delivered in small groups, with a strict limit of four divers per guide. This ratio ensures that whether you are working on buoyancy or navigating a wreck, you have the direct attention required for safe and effective learning.

As a family-run business, the centre maintains a professional yet personal atmosphere. They are fully insured and follow rigorous maintenance schedules for all diving kit and equipment used on-site.

As an SSI Diamond Center, the training catalogue is extensive, covering every stage of a diver's progression. Beginners can start with the Introductieduik or move through the SSI Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

The centre also hosts a wide array of specialty courses, including Wreck Diving, Night Diving & Limited Visibility, and Deep Diving. For those interested in the science of the ocean, they offer ecology-focused programmes such as Sea Turtle Ecology, Shark Ecology, and Coral Identification.
