Unique Diving, UDI

Located in Willemstad, Unique Diving (UDI) serves as a dedicated SSI dive centre on the island of Curaçao. The centre is built around the concept of personalisation, moving away from the standard large-group model to ensure that every diver receives individual attention.

Whether you are looking to explore the local reef flats from the shore or head out on a boat to find deeper walls and wrecks, the centre adapts its planning to your skill level. This flexibility allows for a much more tailored approach to the underwater environment of the Caribbean.

The team is led by Douschka Kreijen, an experienced SSI Trainer, and Ariane, an SSI Divemaster with specialisations in adaptive diving and marine ecology. This combination of high-level instructional expertise and ecological focus provides a professional foundation for both recreational and scientific diving.

The centre is highly multilingual, with staff able to communicate in Dutch, English, Spanish, French, and German. This makes navigating course materials and dive briefings straightforward for international divers.

Beyond standard instruction, the team is committed to marine conservation, offering programmes in coral restoration and turtle conservation. They are also equipped to handle adaptive diving, ensuring that accessibility is a core part of their service.

The training catalogue is extensive, covering the full spectrum of SSI certifications. You can begin with the Open Water Diver course and progress through to professional levels, including Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, and Open Water Instructor.

For experienced divers, the centre offers a deep range of specialty courses. These include Nitrox, Deep Diver, Wreck Diver, Advanced Wreck Diving, Decompression Diving, and Night Diving & Limited Visibility. Technical and skill-based training is also available through courses such as Computer Diving, Navigation, Equipment Techniques, and Perfect Buoyancy.

Specialised ecological and professional development courses are also on offer, such as the Science of Diving, Search & Recovery, and even Mermaid Instructor training.

The centre operates a powercatamaran designed for comfort and stability during excursions. The vessel has a capacity for up to 15 people, allowing for the small-group atmosphere the centre promises.

Onboard, you will find amenities including lunch and non-alcoholic beverages provided during the trip. The boat is equipped for various dive profiles, including night diving, and carries Nitrox for those using enriched air.

Unique Diving provides a full range of equipment for hire, covering everything needed for a complete dive setup. This includes regulators, BCDs, and exposure suits, allowing you to travel light if you choose.
