Whether you are staying in nearby accommodation or arriving via their shuttle service, the focus is on professional, small-scale diving. The centre's location at Pierbaai allows for immediate access to the house reef, making it an ideal spot to check your buoyancy or gear before heading out on more demanding trips.

The centre operates with a professional team providing instruction and guidance in English. They maintain a strict diver-to-guide ratio, limiting guided dives to a maximum of six divers per instructor to ensure safety and personalised attention.

As a 5 Star IDC Resort, they are equipped to handle everything from basic introductory dives to professional Instructor Development Courses. Their commitment to the environment is integrated into their operations, as they are members of Green Fins and PADI AWARE, promoting reef-safe products and plastic reduction.

The training programme covers the entire PADI spectrum. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the Bubblemaker and Seal Team programmes for younger divers, progressing through to Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver.

For those looking to specialise, the centre offers courses such as PADI Wreck Diver, Deep Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Underwater Naturalist. They also provide training in Search and Recovery, Photography, and Coral Restoration Diver. The ocean near the coast is generally calm with small waves, though boat divers may encounter larger swells further offshore. Currents are typically weak to non-existent near the shore, generally moving from East to West, though they can reverse during the rainy season.

Boat-based dives at Eastpoint are subject to weather conditions and can encounter stronger currents. It is standard practice for the centre to require a shore-based control dive before heading to these more exposed sites.
