Hotel Bambou

Le Karayib is the beach restaurant, but it is currently being refurbished after damage, so its place in your meal plans needs checking before you rely on it.

There is one named bar, Barik Bar, serving fruit-led cocktails and rum tastings with music around it. A snack bar is also available for the moments when lunch feels too far away and dinner feels offensively ambitious. Special-diet menus can be requested, and themed dinners, local musical performances and Sunday buffets add a little more occasion when you want the evening to last longer than the final mouthful.

The main outdoor pool gives you a second place to cool off beside the direct-access beach. Sun loungers and beach towels are available, while the gardens and terraces provide space to sit without having to perform enthusiasm for an organised activity. The resort also offers live music, local musical groups, stand-up comedy, broadcast sports and evening entertainment, so the evening can be as quiet or as sociable as you choose.

Le Cocon by Tropical Spa is the more convincing answer to stiff shoulders and sun-warmed skin. Treatments include massages, facials, a signature sensory ritual, after-sun care, manicures and pedicures, with body scrubs, wraps and other body treatments also available.
