Le Panoramic

The atmosphere suits a couple who want a base for exploring Martinique, or a family that would rather spread out after a day outdoors. That is worth checking directly if discussing detailed arrangements in a particular language matters to you.

There is a private outdoor pool with loungers and a view over the bay and the Anse à l’Ane hills. The beach is close enough for a short walk, while the raised position gives you the broad outlook rather than a room-level view of the car park. A sensible trade-off, for once.

You are in Les Trois-Îlets, Martinique, at Anse à l’Ane, on the south-west side of Fort-de-France Bay. The property is by the sea, but not directly on the sand: Anse à l’Ane beach is 350 metres away, a walk that should not require a full expedition unless your fins have somehow multiplied in the night.

The nearest restaurants are around 300 metres away, with French and local dishes available in the surrounding area. Shops, the village and the maritime shuttle serving Fort-de-France are also nearby, giving you options beyond staying put with a takeaway and a view.

For wider island days, Morne Bigot is about 1.5 miles away and Morne Larcher about 5 miles away. The Trois-Îlets tourist centre is around five minutes away, while Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport is roughly 15 miles from the property by road.

The practical choice here is the studio-apartment layout. You have a sleeping area, a seating area with a sofa, and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, oven, hob, toaster, coffee machine, kettle and kitchenware. That means cold water and something resembling food are available when you return tired, rather than another negotiation with room service.

The Comfort Studio with Terrace is the obvious fit for a couple wanting outdoor space and a kitchen, while the larger family-friendly arrangement uses a double bed and sofa bed. Interconnected rooms are available, which gives families more flexibility without forcing everyone into the same sleeping rhythm. A cot can be requested for a baby, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower keeps the post-beach routine straightforward.

Air conditioning matters in Martinique, particularly when you are trying to recover from warm water, strong sun and a day spent moving between sea and shore. Soundproofing, blackout curtains are not listed, so early risers should not assume the room will negotiate with the sunrise. You do have a terrace or balcony, sea, mountain, garden or pool views depending on the unit, plus a flat-screen television, safe, wardrobe and ironing facilities. It is a useful start when an early departure matters, and it saves you from hunting for coffee before your brain has fully resurfaced. Aquagym takes place in the pool, while a nearby health trail and walking routes offer a less ambitious way to move your legs after several hours in fins.

The hotel can arrange or offer excursions including dolphin trips, boat outings with commentary along the southern and eastern coasts, kayaking, island tours by 4x4, walks in gardens and natural parks, and hiking across Martinique. Cultural talks, craft introductions and discoveries of local products give you something to do when the weather is too warm for heroic plans.

If you still have energy in reserve, the wider area adds golf, tennis, cycling, horse riding, mountain biking and water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, pedal boats, jet skis, flyboarding and towable buoy rides. Massage is available from a qualified physiotherapist. For a couple, that leaves a respectable range of choices between poolside idleness and a day that requires actual footwear.

Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport is about 15 miles away, with a typical road journey of around 26 to 30 minutes. An airport shuttle is available, and car hire can be arranged through the property’s partner. Free private parking is available on site, so a hire car is a workable option for reaching beaches, walks and excursions beyond Les Trois-Îlets.

Check-in runs from 15:00 to 21:00, and you need to tell the property your expected arrival time. Photo identification and a credit card are required at check-in. Check-out is from 07:00 to 11:00, which covers an early start but leaves little room for a slow final breakfast.

A refundable damage deposit is collected by card on arrival and returned after the accommodation has been inspected at check-out. Children of any age are welcome; children aged 17 and over are charged as adults, and there are no extra beds. Smoking and parties are not allowed, and quiet hours run from 20:00 to 08:00.
