Karpathos Airport is around 9 miles from the hotel by road, so the arrival transfer is not a small island stroll with a suitcase.

For an outing away from the waterfront, the Karpathos Folklore Museum is about 7 miles away by road. Car hire is available, which makes the more distant beaches and mountain excursions easier to manage.

It is not heated, but on a warm Karpathos day that is hardly a philosophical problem. You can move from the water to a drink without turning the afternoon into an expedition.

Those are useful choices for a partner who wants time on the water without signing up for a dive schedule, or for a day when your surface interval has become an entire afternoon.
