Whitewashed Cycladic buildings, a sandy shoreline and the sea laid out beyond your balcony: Hotel Livadia puts Parikia's waterfront within easy reach.
If your ideal island base involves a swim before breakfast, a balcony for watching the light change and a town close enough for dinner on foot, Hotel Livadia has the right shape. This is a small aparthotel in Livadia, on the seafront of Parikia, with rooms, studios and apartments rather than one standard hotel-room formula.
The atmosphere is tied to the setting: Cycladic streets, blue-and-white houses, bougainvillea and the lively waterfront of Parikia. You can keep the day simple here. Swim, eat, sit outside, and let the island provide the scenery without requiring a programme worthy of a military campaign.
English, German and French are spoken by the hotel team, so you can deal with the practicalities in English and also speak French or German if that is more comfortable.
The address is in Livadia, Parikia, Greece, directly on the seafront and beside Livadia Beach. The beach is sandy, around 200 metres long, with sun loungers, parasols and a beach bar. That makes the first post-dive decision pleasantly uncomplicated: sea first, shower later.
Parikia's centre is about 2 km away. The port is roughly 700 metres from the hotel, while Parikia Beach is about 0.9 miles away. The Archaeological Museum of Paros is around 0.7 miles from the property, and the Archaeological Cemetery is about 0.4 miles away, giving you a few worthwhile walks when you want more than a view from the balcony.
The surrounding area brings the useful island combination of shops, tavernas, restaurants and bars, with the waterfront becoming livelier from sunset onwards. Paros National Airport is about 6 miles away by road, or around 10 km.

The room choice matters here because the property covers several ways of travelling. For two, a balcony room with sea view gives you the most obvious island routine: wake up, open the door and check the water before deciding what the day is doing. The deluxe sea-view double adds a king-size bed and a private bathroom, which is the more comfortable couple's option.
For three or four, the larger deluxe rooms and the two-bedroom apartment make more sense than trying to negotiate a small double around bags, clothes and dive kit. The apartment has an ocean view, while the family-oriented room options include sofa beds. A studio suits two people who want a little more domestic flexibility, with a double bed, sofa bed, private bathroom and refrigerator.
Every room has air conditioning, a balcony and a view, with free WiFi, linen, towels, a private bathroom, shower, hairdryer and television covered across the accommodation. The refrigerator is useful for cold water and fruit when you return tired and salt-streaked; the tea and coffee maker helps with the first cup before anyone starts discussing plans. Daily housekeeping keeps the practical side moving, and the upper floors are reached by stairs only.
Livadia Restaurant handles the main meals, with Mediterranean cooking served on a terrace overlooking the sea. Breakfast is a buffet and is included, while lunch and dinner keep the restaurant useful beyond the morning coffee. Fresh local ingredients are used in the dishes, and the dress code is relaxed: island dining, not a ceremony requiring emergency ironing.
The Pool Bar is the sole named bar, with cocktails and snacks beside the outdoor pool. It is the place for a drink without committing to a full meal, particularly when the sensible evening plan is to remain in sandals and watch the light fade.
Room service runs during limited hours, from late morning into the evening, and packed meals are available. The kitchen caters for vegetarian and gluten-free diets. There is no continuous snack service, so if your appetite arrives with the force of a surface interval, the restaurant timings are worth keeping in mind.

The main pool gives you an alternative to the beach, with a swim-up bar for those afternoons when moving more than a few metres feels ambitious. The pool is outdoors and unheated. Down at the shore, the direct sandy beach adds sun loungers, parasols and a beach bar, so you can choose between chlorinated water and the Aegean without arranging transport.
For a more active day, the hotel offers snorkelling, kayaking, paddleboarding and boat excursions, with equipment rental available. Bicycle rental, walking and cultural excursions open up the island beyond the waterfront; trips to Naoussa and Parikia are among the options. Car hire is also available if you want to make the island your own timetable rather than negotiate it one bus at a time.
There is a fitness centre and yoga classes for the part of you that still wants to be virtuous after diving. Families can use babysitting and a children's menu, while weekend live music gives the evening a little movement without turning the whole stay into an entertainment schedule. Temporary art galleries and themed dinner nights add occasional variety.
Your last day stays dry: no diving in the 18-24 hours before a flight, the perfect window to see the destination from another angle.

Paros National Airport is about 6 miles from the hotel. From there, take a taxi or bus to Parikia; an airport transfer can also be arranged by the hotel. Free private parking is available nearby, and car hire is offered on site. Bicycle rental is available too, although the waterfront location means you can manage plenty of the immediate area on foot.
WiFi is free throughout the property. Luggage storage, concierge assistance, daily housekeeping, laundry and dry-cleaning services cover the useful bits of travel administration, while a safe is available at reception and a doctor can be arranged on request. Express and private check-in and check-out are available, and you should give the hotel your expected arrival time.
Quiet hours run from midnight until 08:00, and parties or events are not allowed. Special requests are subject to availability, while cots for young children can be requested; extra beds are not available. Upper floors are accessible by stairs only, a small but important detail when your luggage has acquired the usual holiday ambition.
Please note that the half board menu provides a selection of 3 or 4 menus which include a salad or a starter, a main course, wine or soft drink and dessert.
