Asteras Hotel is an aparthotel for divers who would rather have a workable base than a parade of unnecessary extras. You can settle on the sun terrace, use the outdoor dining area, or head towards the beach when the room has done its job and the sea is calling again. You are in Sarti, Greece, near the centre of town and on the seafront. The hotel has direct access to a sandy beach, with loungers and parasols available for beach time that does not require packing a day bag worthy of an expedition.

Shops, mini-markets, fruit and vegetable shops, and restaurants are close by. Stavros is about 350 m away, while Lauer House and Restaurant Kotsaris are each around 600–700 m from the hotel. Cafe Kleio is about 350 m away and Ladario Beach Bar about 700 m away, giving you options for coffee or a drink without turning the evening into a logistical exercise.

If you want to explore beyond Sarti, Achlada Beach is around 0.7 miles away, Platania Beach about 1.5 miles, Goa Beach roughly 2 miles, and Platanitsi Beach about 4 miles.

The useful distinction here is not a long list of room names but how you plan to use the space. Couples can keep things simple with a double-bed studio, while three or four guests have studio and apartment layouts with separate sleeping arrangements. The apartment is the sensible choice when you want more room to spread out; interconnected rooms are also available for a little more separation within a travelling group.

Every accommodation has a private bathroom, air conditioning, refrigerator, tea and coffee maker, and kitchenette equipment including a hob, cookware and an electric kettle. That means cold water when you return tired, somewhere to keep breakfast supplies, and the option of making something uncomplicated before heading out again. A desk and sofa add practical space rather than decorative clutter.

Balconies and terraces open onto views that can include the garden, inner courtyard or mountains. A mosquito net is fitted in the rooms, alongside wardrobes, clothes racks and tiled or marble floors. Families can request a cot for children aged two and under, while the room categories include an accessible twin room.

The on-site restaurant works across the day, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terrace. The cooking is Mediterranean, with a variety of dishes rather than a formal tasting exercise; after diving, that is usually the correct level of ambition. Breakfast is served as a buffet, giving you the chance to build a proper start before making for the water.

There is one bar, simply called the Bar. It serves drinks and snacks, which covers the useful gap between returning from the beach and deciding whether dinner is happening now or after a shower. The restaurant and bar keep the food-and-drink side of the stay close at hand, while the kitchenettes give you another option when a quiet meal on your balcony wins the evening.

The main non-diving activity is the beach, and it is close enough to make a short visit worthwhile rather than forcing you to commit to a full day. Direct access to golden sand, with loungers and parasols, gives you somewhere to read, watch the water or let a surface interval become a proper afternoon.

Back at the hotel, the garden, sun terrace and outdoor furniture provide the quieter alternatives. You can sit outside with a drink, use the outdoor dining area, or simply leave the day to pass at a sensible pace. Boating is available in the surrounding area for days when you want to stay on the water without putting on a wetsuit.

The location also makes an easy stroll into Sarti practical, with cafés, bars, shops and restaurants nearby. For a couple travelling together, that gives you room to vary the day: beach, town, garden, then dinner, without needing to manufacture an activity programme.

Thessaloniki Airport is about 130 km from the aparthotel. Nearby free public parking is available, although spaces cannot be reserved. Luggage storage is available, which can be useful around the edges of your arrival and departure days.

Check-in runs from 15:00 to 18:00 and check-out from 08:00 to 11:00. You need to tell the hotel your arrival time, and photo identification and a credit card are required at check-in. Cash is accepted for payment.

Children of all ages are welcome. A cot can be requested for children aged two and under, subject to the room option, while extra beds are not available. The hotel is non-smoking, and parties or events are not permitted. Free WiFi covers all areas, so you can keep in touch and sort out the next day's plans without hunting for a signal.
