Anemone Diving Center

Located in Palamós on the Costa Brava, Anemone Diving Center serves as a gateway to some of the most significant marine environments in the region. The centre is positioned less than 100 metres from the Playa de la Fosca natural zone, providing easy access to protected waters.

Since 2018, the centre has operated as a multi-disciplinary school, catering to those looking for their first breath underwater as well as experienced technical divers. You can choose to dive via boat departures or through shore entries, depending on the site and your preference.

The centre is an established training school with multiple international affiliations, including PADI, SSI, CMAS, and FEDAS. This range of certifications ensures that divers from various backgrounds can find suitable programmes, from entry-level courses to advanced technical specialities.

Instruction is available for a wide spectrum of disciplines, including recreational diving, technical diving, and apnea. The team is equipped to handle everything from complete beginners to those looking to progress through professional or technical levels.

The training programme is comprehensive, covering the full range of diving requirements. You can start with basic recreational training or progress through more specialised paths including technical diving and apnea.

Certifications are recognised globally through SSI, PADI, and CMAS/FEDAS, allowing you to take your skills anywhere in the world. The school is structured to support divers at every stage of their progression, from initial discovery to advanced technical mastery.

Anemone Diving Center is an authorised MARES centre, meaning you can rely on high-quality, brand-specific kit for your dives. The centre provides a full range of equipment for hire, ensuring you have everything required for a comfortable immersion.

On-site facilities are designed for comfort and convenience, providing a base to prepare for your dives or rinse your kit after a day on the water.

The underwater landscape is defined by its rich fixed life, where you will find extensive Sea fan (Gorgoniidae) colonies. These structures provide the framework for a diverse ecosystem that supports a variety of resident species.

In the rocky crevices and along the walls, you can encounter various predators and residents such as Grouper (Epinephelus) and Moray eel (Muraenidae). Spiny lobster (Palinuridae) and Lobster (Homaridae) are also part of the local fauna, often found patrolling the reef structures.

For those with an eye for detail, the macro life is significant. You can find various sea slugs and Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani) amongst the reef, alongside octopuses and cusk-eels hiding in the substrate.

The centre operates year-round, providing access to the Costa Brava regardless of the season. Divers should be prepared for the typical Mediterranean conditions, including varying currents and swell depending on the specific site and day.
