Aquanauts Diving Center

Located in Al Aqah, Fujairah, Aquanauts Diving Center sits at the gateway to some of the most interesting diving in the United Arab Emirates. Often referred to as the diving mecca of the Emirates, this area offers access to the diverse marine ecosystems of the Sea of Oman.

The centre is positioned behind the Royal M Al Aqah Beach Resort, making it a convenient base for those staying in the area. For divers travelling from further afield, transfers can be arranged from Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah upon request.

As a PADI 5 Star dive centre, Aquanauts maintains a high standard of instruction and safety. The team is composed of professional PADI instructors and divemasters who are experienced in managing both local reef dives and more specialised excursions.

Instruction is provided in English and Russian, catering to an international community of divers. The centre manages a wide variety of programmes, from the PADI Bubblemaker and Seal Team for younger divers to advanced professional and specialty training.

The course catalogue is extensive, covering the entire PADI progression. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving or the PADI Open Water Diver course, with subsequent options including the PADI Scuba Diver and Adventure Diver levels.

Advanced divers can specialise through various PADI specialties, such as PADI Deep Diver, PADI Wreck Diver, PADI Night Diver, and PADI Underwater Navigator. The centre also offers training in Peak Performance Buoyancy, Search & Recovery, and Fish Identification.

For those looking to advance their professional profile, the centre provides instruction for PADI Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and more. They also host digital photography and videography courses for those wanting to document their underwater experiences.

The centre operates two boats to facilitate daily diving. The Aquanauts 2 is a larger vessel with a capacity for 15 passengers, while the Aquanauts 1 carries up to 8 divers per trip.

Both boats are equipped to handle various diving requirements, including night dives. On board, you will find water, tea, coffee, fruit, and light snacks to keep you fuelled between dives.

A full range of rental equipment is available on-site for those not travelling with their own kit, including masks, snorkels, fins, and wetsuits.

For divers looking to extend their bottom time or manage nitrogen loading, Nitrox is available. The centre is well-equipped to support various levels of training, from initial entry-level courses to technical specialties.

The waters around Al Aqah are home to a variety of tropical fish and sea turtles. You will often encounter these species while exploring the reef structures.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants add further interest to the dives, with divers keeping an eye out for various crustaceans and smaller reef dwellers.
