Deep Blue Dive Center is situated at the southern end of Aqaba, within the Tala Bay Resort. Its position near the shoreline allows for easy access to many of the region's most significant dive sites via boat, while also providing immediate access to the house reef for those preferring shore entries.

Since 2008, the centre has established itself as a professional hub for divers in Jordan. As a PADI 5 Star and ECO Dive Center, it balances technical expertise with a commitment to reef conservation through its Green Fins membership.

The centre operates with a focus on small dive groups to ensure high levels of attention and service. This approach is suitable for everyone from those taking their first breaths underwater to professional-level divers.

As a PADI 5 Star facility, the team is qualified to teach the full spectrum of training. For those beginning their journey, the centre provides DAN insurance coverage for all Discover Scuba Diving students and trial divers, ensuring a professional safety standard from the first dive.

The training programme covers the entire PADI progression. Beginners can start with Discover Scuba Diving, progressing through the Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver courses.

For those looking to advance their skills or career, the centre offers Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and the Instructor Development Course (IDC). The facility is equipped to handle a wide variety of other professional certifications as well.

The centre operates two dedicated vessels. The Deep Blue 2 is a 24-metre boat, new as of 2022, designed for comfort and utility. It features two toilets with showers, a kitchen, an equipment shop, and a dedicated classroom. On deck, you will find both sunny and shaded areas equipped with comfortable sofas, alongside an indoor dry lounge.

The Deep Blue One is a smaller 14-metre vessel. It is equipped with a toilet, a shower, and a shaded seating area, making it well-suited for shorter trips or specific site access.

For divers travelling with minimal kit, the centre offers a full range of high-end equipment for hire. This includes everything required for a complete setup, allowing you to focus on the diving rather than the logistics of transport.

On-site facilities include an equipment shop and dedicated areas for divers to manage their kit between outings.

The reefs are characterised by a vibrant array of hard coral (Scleractinia) and soft coral (Alcyonacea), including table corals, cabbage coral, and various yellow and orange corals. You will find a diverse ecosystem of reef fish, such as Anthias (Anthias), Butterflyfish (Chaetodon), and various species of Damselfish and Parrotfish (Calotomus).

Larger pelagics and reef residents frequently pass through the area, including Great barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda), various Jacks (Carangidae), and Tuna (Thunnus). It is not uncommon to encounter Eagle rays (Aetobatus), blue-spotted stingrays, or even the occasional whale shark.

For those interested in macro life, the seabed holds many treasures. Look out for Nudibranch (Chromodoris willani), Seahorse (Hippocampus kuda), Ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae), and various species of shrimp and harlequin shrimps. You may also spot Octopus (Octopus vulgaris), Cuttlefish (Sepiidae), and various species of Scorpionfish (Scorpaenidae) amongst the reef structure.
