Located within the Qondwana Reserve in Sodwana Bay, Siso Dwana Lodge serves as a base for exploring one of South Africa's most significant marine environments. The lodge is situated approximately 4 kilometres from the main beach, overlooking the Ngoboseleni Lake and the surrounding Isimangaliso Wetland Park.

The diving operation is led by Andrew and Sue, who manage a team of highly qualified and certified instructors. The staff is driven by a commitment to sharing local marine knowledge and ensuring that safety remains the primary focus for every diver.

Beyond the dive deck, the lodge provides a structured environment for both novice and advanced divers. The team adheres to strict quality and safety standards, ensuring that all equipment is regularly serviced and well-maintained for every outing.

Siso Dwana Lodge offers a full spectrum of training, starting with the Open Water Diver course for those taking their first breaths underwater. The curriculum is designed to support divers at every stage of their progression.

For those looking to advance their skills, the centre provides various other certifications and professional training paths. Whether you are working towards a professional qualification or simply refining your skills, the instruction is personalised to your level.

The centre provides a range of rental kit to suit different needs, including wetsuits, regulators, and fins. For those looking to dive at night, torches are available for hire.

On-site accommodation is integrated with the diving experience, offering 18 en-suite air-conditioned rooms housed in nine thatch-roofed rondavels, plus two independent two-bedroom units. A swimming pool is available for relaxation between dives.

The waters around Sodwana Bay are home to a vast array of large pelagics and reef species. You can encounter hammerhead sharks, bull sharks, and whitetip reef sharks patrolling the area, alongside bottlenose dolphins and various species of rays, including the round ribbon-tail stingray.

On the reef, the ecosystem is built upon a rich foundation of fixed life. You will find diverse sea fans (Gorgoniidae), whip corals, and various sponge corals, alongside orange wall sponges and soft coral nudibranchs that provide colour to the structures.

Macro life is abundant for those who know where to look. The seabed and reef crevices host a variety of nudibranchs, including the Bornella valdae nudibranch, as well as octopus (Octopus vulgaris), various species of shrimp (Caridea), and ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae).
