Scuba Alegre Diving Center

Scuba Alegre Dive Center is situated in Sant Pere Pescador, positioned within the Costa Montgrí Natural Park in the Girona province. This area is defined by its striking coastline, offering a diverse range of underwater environments that cater to a broad spectrum of diving experience.

The centre operates with a strong commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism, holding membership in the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas. This ensures that your dives contribute to the preservation of the very ecosystems you are exploring, such as the vital Posidonia seagrass meadows.

The team is comprised of eight professional instructors and skippers who bring extensive experience in recreational diving and training. They prioritise safety and building diver confidence, whether you are completing your first certification or refining advanced skills.

Communication is easy for international divers, as the team is multilingual. They speak Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian, and Portuguese, ensuring that technical briefings and training instructions are always precise and clearly understood.

As an SSI affiliated centre, Scuba Alegre offers a comprehensive curriculum. Beginners can start with Basic Diver, Scuba Diver, or Open Water Diver courses, including the Referral Diver option for those continuing their training elsewhere.

For those looking to advance, the centre provides training in Nitrox, Sidemount, and Drysuit Diving. More technical or specialised skills are also available, including DPV Diving and Full Face Mask Diving. Professional divers can progress through the Divemaster and Instructor pathways.

The centre provides a full range of equipment hire for those not travelling with their own kit. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks, as well as torches for night diving.

In addition to rental services, the facility offers equipment maintenance and repair to ensure your gear remains in top condition. Nitrox is available on-site for divers looking to extend their bottom times.

The underwater landscape is defined by its rich Mediterranean flora, particularly the extensive Posidonia seagrass meadows that provide structure and shelter. You will also encounter various rock formations and pinnacles that support a healthy ecosystem.

Macro life enthusiasts will find plenty to observe on the seabed and among the rocks. The area is home to various nudibranchs, as well as goby and combtooth blenny species that inhabit the crevices of the reef.
