Shaab Hamdallah, Safaga: Diving Red Sea Coral Pinnacles

Shaab Hamdallah is an outer reef located at the southernmost point of the large shallow plateau surrounding Shaab Shehr, about 80 to 95 minutes by boat from Safaga. As you approach, you'll see no protection for the boat, a clear indicator of its exposed nature. The site itself consists of a collection of tall coral pinnacles, or ergs, that rise from a seabed around 18 metres deep. These pinnacles are arranged roughly like the five dots on a dice, creating a distinct underwater landscape with channels and swim-throughs between some of the blocks.
