Two different moods share the same address. Flora I is the busier side, with a pool, pool bar, restaurant, fitness room, wellness area and the main family facilities; Flora II is the quieter zone, built around a pool with hammocks and parasols. That split matters when you are choosing where to spend the afternoon: activity is close at hand, but a slower corner is available too.

The hotel is set up for families and friends, with apartments alongside smaller accommodation, children's entertainment and an evening programme for adults. You get gardens, terraces and outdoor furniture rather than a place designed purely for sleeping between excursions. Free Wi-Fi covers the hotel, and the 24-hour reception gives you somewhere to turn when arrival, car hire or the next day's plans need sorting.

You are in Puerto del Carmen, Spain, in a residential part of the resort rather than directly on the sand. Playa Chica is about 0.6 miles away on foot, and the hotel runs a free bus to the beach. The main Puerto del Carmen beach is roughly 0.7 miles away on foot, while Playa de los Pocillos and Playa de Matagorda are farther along the coast.

A shopping centre is about 0.3 miles away, with several bars and restaurants close enough to reach without turning the evening into an expedition. Restaurante La Bamba is about 0.1 miles away, and Kentia Gourmet Club is around 0.1 miles from the hotel. Arrecife is about 9 miles away, while Timanfaya National Park is around 12 miles away by road.

Lanzarote Airport is about 6 miles from the property. Club Lanzarote Golf, an 18-hole course, is roughly 2 miles away. The location works particularly well if you want access to Puerto del Carmen's food, bars and beaches without staying in the middle of the busiest strip.

The accommodation is arranged around how you use it, not just how it looks in a brochure. A studio suits a couple who want a straightforward base, while the one-bedroom apartments and junior suites give you more room to separate sleeping and sitting time. For a group needing proper breathing space, the two-bedroom apartment is the sensible choice; it is the option that makes four people and their luggage less of a daily negotiation.

Some accommodation includes a kitchenette, with the studios and superior one-bedroom apartments offering kitchen facilities, an electric kettle and a terrace in the studio category. That can be useful for keeping the first drink or snack simple when returning hungry, although the hotel also has its own restaurant, snack bar and supermarket. You also have a private bathroom, shower, towels, toiletries, hairdryer, wardrobe and satellite television.

Air conditioning is available in the summer season only, so the timing of your trip matters if a cool room is part of your recovery plan. Heating is also available. The Flora II area is the quieter part of the property, making it the natural choice when you would rather hear less animation and more of your own thoughts.

The main restaurant is Restaurante Buffet, serving international food in buffet form. Breakfast is a buffet, which is the useful sort of arrangement when your appetite follows your dive schedule rather than the clock. There is also a bar, a pool bar and a snack bar, so you have more than one place to find something to eat or drink without leaving the property.

The hotel describes the food offer as varied and based on fresh, quality ingredients. Do not read that as a promise of a tasting-menu evening: the practical choice here is a broad international buffet, with a poolside drink available on the Flora I side. Adults have evening entertainment, live music, themed dinner nights and an entertainment team, so the hotel is not built around silent evenings. Billiards and table tennis offer something less organised when you want to move a little without committing to a full excursion.

The Zona Wellness in Flora I has a sauna and massage room, with massage treatments available by reservation. The fitness room includes strength and cardiovascular equipment, including weights, treadmills and cross-trainers. Bicycle rental, cycling and golf are also available, with the golf course within about 2 miles; enough to occupy a non-diving day without pretending that every afternoon needs an itinerary.

Check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out runs until 12:00. You need photo identification and a credit card at check-in, and guests under 18 can check in only with a parent or official guardian. Children of any age are welcome; cots can be requested, subject to the accommodation option, but extra beds are not available.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, the reception is open around the clock, and wake-up service, concierge service and car hire are available. A shuttle service can be arranged through the hotel, while the beach bus is free. The hotel also has an on-site supermarket, useful when you would rather make a quick purchase on site than walk out again.
