Adventure Blue Vision

Located on the sands of Andilana Beach, Adventure Blue Vision serves as a professional hub for divers visiting Nosy Be. The centre is positioned just 20 minutes from the airport and Hell Ville, making it a convenient base for exploring the 'Perfume Island'.

As a PADI 5 Star centre, the operation focuses on high-standard instruction and reliable boat access. The proximity to local hotels and guest houses, such as Hôtel Le Belvédère and L'Anjava, allows for a seamless transition from your accommodation to the dive boat.

The centre is led by Nicolas Cerdan, with Philippe Cerdan serving as the primary instructor and PADI Course Director. This professional oversight ensures that both recreational training and advanced professional courses are conducted to a high standard.

Instruction is provided in French. The team covers the entire spectrum of diver development, from those taking their first breaths underwater to professionals working towards their career certifications.

The training catalogue is comprehensive, covering all PADI levels from Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver through to Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver. Specialty courses are also available, including PADI Deep Diver, Wreck, Night, and Orientation.

For those looking to enter the industry, the centre offers professional pathways including Divemaster, IDC (Instructor Development Course), and EFR Instructor training.

The centre operates two open-hull motorboats to reach the dive sites. The LOWI is powered by a 200 hp Suzuki engine and has a capacity for 18 divers, while the FANO is powered by a 175 hp Suzuki engine and carries 8 divers.

A full range of rental kit is available on-site, featuring recent equipment from reputable brands including Mares, Scubapro, and Seac Sub. This includes regulators, BCDs, and wetsuits for those not travelling with their own gear.

Safety is a priority on shore, with oxygen safety equipment maintained on-site for all divers.

The reefs around Nosy Be are characterised by vibrant coral life, including various corals, gorgonians, and giant sea fans. You will find a diverse array of reef fish, such as butterflyfish (Chaetodon), surgeonfish (Acanthuridae), and various snappers and fusiliers patrolling the formations.

Large pelagic species and reef residents frequently visit the area. Divers can encounter various sharks, including whitetip reef sharks (Triaenodon obesus), blacktip reef sharks (Carcharhinus melanopterus), and grey reef sharks (Carcharhinus amblyrhynchos), alongside rays such as blue-spotted stingrays and mobula rays.

Macro life and smaller inhabitants add significant detail to the dives. Look out for nudibranchs, seahorses (Hippocampus kuda), frogfish, and various species of pipefish and ghost pipefish (Solenostomidae). You may also spot spiny lobsters (Palinuridae) and various species of shrimp among the reef structure.

The best time to dive in Nosy Be is from April to December. The dry season, running from May to October, offers the most consistent conditions.

While diving is possible year-round, the period from January to March is the low season and coincides with the cyclone period, which may affect boat trips and dive schedules.
