You get beachfront space, over-water villas, a private beach area, restaurants, bars, a pool, a spa and enough sport to keep the non-diving part of the day occupied. Or not occupied, if your post-dive plan is a lounger and a cold drink. That is a perfectly respectable itinerary.

The 24-hour Premium All-Inclusive formula is aimed at an easy, self-contained stay, with the added freedom to dine around the resort. Couples get the sea-facing side of the story, while families have larger villa layouts and a kids’ club, children’s pool and playground to work with. The atmosphere is therefore more resort holiday than Robinson Crusoe: there is plenty to do, but you can also keep the day pleasantly empty.

Your address is Hudhuranfushi, Maldives, on Lhohifushi Island. The resort is beachfront, with its own private beach area, garden, sun terrace and outdoor seating. You are staying on an island rather than in Malé, so the sea is part of the setting and the resort itself provides the main rhythm of the day.

Velana International Airport is about 10 miles away in a straight-line distance, followed by a speedboat transfer to the island. The resort’s description gives the boat journey as 30 minutes. Gasfinolhu Beach is about 1 mile away, while Bikini Beach is roughly 3 miles away; those distances matter less than the fact that your own beach is already on the doorstep. Nearby mainland-style cafés, bars and restaurants are not the point here. You are booking an island resort, not a walkable town base.

The choice is mainly about where you want to wake up. A Garden Villa keeps things more compact for two, while a Beach Villa puts you by the sand. The Ocean Villas are the obvious choice if the view matters more than having the beach directly outside, and the family villas give groups separate bedroom space rather than asking everyone to negotiate one room and one alarm clock.
