Located in the northern part of Mauritius, Octopus Diving Centre serves as a gateway to the most diverse marine environments in the region. From the reef flats of Pereybere to the deeper waters around Coin de Mire, the area offers a varied landscape for every level of diver.

The centre operates with a focus on a premium experience, prioritising long dives that allow you to truly experience the underwater scenery. Whether you are looking for a relaxed day of reef exploration or a structured technical course, the setup is designed to accommodate professional standards.

The centre is led by Matthieu Ludovic 'Ludo' Dupre, an instructor trainer with over 20 years of experience across multiple agencies. This depth of expertise is reflected in the training offered, which ranges from basic certifications to high-level technical instructor training.

Operating with a multilingual team, the centre ensures clear communication for international divers. They maintain a strict diver-to-guide ratio, typically keeping groups to 4 or 5 divers per instructor to ensure safety and personalised attention during every dive.

The training programme is extensive, catering to the entire spectrum of diver progression. For beginners, they offer Discover Scuba Diving and the PADI or SSI Open Water Diver courses, progressing through Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, and various specialty courses like Deep Diver, Wreck, Night, and Drift diving.

For the technical community, Octopus Diving is one of the few centres in Mauritius offering full technical training through TDI and RAID. Their curriculum includes Sidemount recreational and technical training, Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, and Trimix. They also specialise in rebreather diving with Triton CCR training and offer Intro to Tec programmes.

The centre operates an 11-metre dive boat designed for comfort and efficiency. On board, you will find a toilet and shower, as well as snacks, tea, coffee, and water to keep you refreshed between dives.

Morning departures are scheduled around 07:45 to 08:00, typically following a two-tank programme. The boat is equipped to handle various dive profiles, including night dives and trips to more distant sites like Coin de Mire.

The facility supports a wide range of diving needs, including the availability of Nitrox for extended bottom times. For technical divers, the centre is equipped for advanced gas blending and rebreather operations.

For those not travelling with their own kit, the centre provides equipment hire to ensure you have the necessary tools for both recreational and technical diving.

Mauritius offers year-round diving opportunities with warm waters and good visibility. The local sites vary from shallow reef flats to deeper wrecks and offshore islands, allowing for a diverse range of dive profiles.
