Diving World Victoria

Diving World Victoria is a well-established presence in the Mauritian diving scene, operating from the Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spa at Pointe aux Piments. As part of the wider Diving World group, the centre brings three decades of experience to the local waters, a fact reflected in their recognition as a World Travel Awards finalist for the Indian Ocean since 2016.

The centre serves as a gateway to the diverse marine environments surrounding Mauritius and Coin de Mire. With access to over 30 different dive sites, the operation is geared towards providing a structured and professional environment for both local exploration and formal training.

The centre is staffed by experienced, PADI-certified instructors who provide instruction in both English and French. This bilingual capability ensures clear communication during essential safety briefings and technical training sessions.

Diving World Victoria offers a comprehensive curriculum of PADI courses. For those new to the water, they provide the PADI Scuba Diver and Open Water Diver courses, including options for e-Learning and private instruction.

Advanced divers can progress through the Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and Deep Diver specialties. The centre also provides technical training through the Nitrox (Enriched Air) course, as well as Wreck Diver and specialty training to refine specific skills.

The centre provides a complete range of equipment for hire, allowing you to dive without transporting your own kit. This includes regulators, wetsuits, fins, and masks, as well as torches for those planning night dives.

For those looking to extend their bottom time, Nitrox is available at the Trou aux Biches location for divers holding the appropriate certification. The facility is set up to support both recreational and specialty diving needs.

The local reefs are home to a diverse array of marine life, including various colourful fish and reef sharks. You can regularly spot sea turtles, rays, and moray eels navigating the coral structures.

Macro life and crustaceans are also present, with divers frequently encountering octopuses, lobsters, and crabs among the reef crevices. These smaller inhabitants add significant interest to the seabed and the various swim-throughs.

In certain areas, you may also encounter dolphins, adding a larger pelagic element to the local marine ecosystem.
